Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Solid reps and improvement over the game, some thoughts:
- As noted on this thread, Coleman is the best player on the field by a wide margin. Special player. RB room is in a strong position with Davis and Muhammad behind Coleman.
- Giles Jackson is going to have a big year. He is a perfect fit for his role in this offense.
- The tight ends are going to matter. Decker looks real athletic. Rooting for Moore, hope he is ok.
- Boston looks ok/good. I was hoping to see Boston assert himself as the Alpha after learning behind a couple. 6/75/1 is fine, and Alpha is still in his range of outcomes. Hunter was absent. I think both grow in the weeks ahead with Rogers.
- Rogers was steady. There is more to be tapped. We are lucky to have him for this year.
- The O-line got to experiment and reps. Weber State was the perfect week 1 opponent. This team will be as good as the O-Line and D-line will allow.
- D-Line was ok. Unsure of our DT stoutness. I suspect DT stoutness will be our Achilles this season. Must see more from Durfree, Lane, Wayne, Holtzclaw. Those edges need to flash for the D-Line to play up.
- Nice to get Williams a full quarter. He is going to get enough work to be positioned for immediate success next year. His future is bright, but I would be shocked if he can displace a healthy Rogers.
- I think the secondary could be really good. Tonights dominant results I think were more from Munoz's struggles than outright dominant secondary play.
- Bruener is the heart and soul of this team. I love watching him play. Silly it took this long for him to become an unquestioned starter.
The best thing about football is how teams evolve over the course of the season. I am looking forward to seeing the week over week growth. Lots of goodness tonight and a good first 4 quarters of learning and experimenting.

Solid poast. Well done.
Thanks Mike. Good post
I totally forgot about Jayden Wayne. Did he do anything?
I hope Q. Moore can come back for Rutgers, if not Northwestern. With Crowell out for another month, TE is pretty thin.
Good poast. Regardless of opponent Coleman is different and you can tell simply by seeing him move in space which is the same as it is against Georgia or Weber State. I also saw him looking like a good teammate which is a great sign given he probably is getting a lot more NIL than other guys and all the giant chain and stuff like that makes you worry a bit about the locker room. I wonder why he wasn't used more at Arizona last year.
I'm a bit worried about losing Moore. Latu looks like a small forward, DeGraaf is a true freshman and a pass catcher type and sounds like Otton is always either hurt or not developing and the other true freshman is done for the season. Wonder if we see some 6 OL sets if Moore is out.
A mega Doog could say Giles Jackson could be a guy and he was just banged up and behind three NFL receivers last year. Boston looks like Rome out there but I'm a little worried he's been too built up as a big time guy and he's not that.
I think Germie was a big loss quite honestly
Giles was turned into a legit starting WR by our previous receivers coach.
I guess the PoC guys already thought that Coleman was the best back in the Pac 12, tied with Martinez last year? Sounds like Fisch didn't use him enough last year.
Giles isn’t the guy, he’s a slightly better mickens
He started at slot for most of a 14-1 season and had some critical plays.
he’s a guy, he’s not the guy
If he's WR1 I think that's a problem, but as a slot guy who can move the chains he seems good to me. Boston needs to be the man outside ASAP or defenses are going to sit on the short stuff and bring an extra guy up in run support to slow down Coleman.
He was open in the 2nd half, but Rogers wasn't forcing it to him like he did Boston on the first half.
Hunter also has a couple of designed plays for him but nothing worked for to bad throws.
jag?
Boston looked good, you guys are tripping. It was week one FCS tuneup time.
Hunter didn't even catch a pass and was WR1 for Cal last year.
not quite a jag but he’s never even broken a kick
(Response to @wilburhookshands. FUCK VANILLA.)
Might be a jag but he is our ? jag.
I think @WilburHooksHands is right. Giles is a better Mickens. He doesn’t have breakaway speed, he doesn’t do anything particularly special, and he catches more balls than Mickens, which means he also catches more than he drops.
Huh? People are forgetting how much we all hated Mickens. Giles isn’t a fucking pussy, for starters.
first and right
I thought this thread was about taint licking.
Like I said, he’s supposed to be a speed guy but he’s never broken anything. I’ll give you he’s not a pussy.
