He really has turned out to be a twat. The gap between who I thought he was and who he turned out to be is as wide as anyone I can think of since I became a sports fan.
For all we want to bitch about him it’s possible none of us would want to deal with the admin/playing school element that exists at UW and doesn’t at Bama on top of everything else. That they have the #1 TBS class and Deboer was struggling to even have a Top 25 class when he left is telling to me.
The recruiting thing is a good point. His replacement, in spite of very publicly announcing a whole new emphasis on high level recruiting, hasn't significantly improved on what Deboer was doing.
UW current fan base: Thank you for raising my expectations (while leading us on a once in a lifetime journey) and NEVER even considering the offers made by boytoytroy.
I too noted the recruiting at Bama and that speaks volumes to me compared to UW. And I was on record on the time that UW lowballed him. The basic half brain creed is that UW isn't serious about football and I think losing DeBoer speaks to that.
I also think he'll do great at Bama but he better strap it on. 14-1 with a blowout loss in the title game is hot seat material at Bama. We would have built a statue.
His record is still crazy good. Hope Fisch can get it done but it is just as likely that we? suck again because we? don't take football seriously
Also finally started watching my cloud recordings of last season before they expire. Two Oregon games and USC. The Oregon games pissed me off this time because of some of the retarded shit we talked about at the time. USC was the Huskies best game of the year and they gave up 45 points but at least they put the Trojans away
Sugar Bowl is left and that will piss me off because they almost blew it. 14-1 though
Appreciate the triple post, always. Oregon Seattle game the end is glorious but picturing losing that game, especially when they controlled it well 75% of the time is still stressful. Forever P12 championship is similar though they really had a chance to bury Oregon in a deeper hole early (credit to them for fighting though) and then giving up the idiotic late score. USC was the most thoroughly enjoyable even though the defense was a wreck.
If DeBoer makes the semifinals with Bama this year and Grubbs offense takes off for Seattle, the clamoring for KDB in NFL circles will hit a fever pitch. If this happens he may be one and done at Bama and frankly I'm here for it.
DeBoers gone, he can fuck off at this point, but man that winning streak was an incredible run. It was like pressing 21 blackjack hands in a row. Then not laying off and losing it all!

wasn’t there some smoke that he was whining that he thought he wasn’t appreciated or something and butthurt about sites like this and negativity?

The one slack I'll cut him is that he had to deal with UW's athletic dept and upper campus. He might have valid reasons for feeling as he does.
Especially with Dannen complaining post departure. Dannen can get fucked but I don’t dismiss their comments outright.
We definitely projected more of a happy to be there, enjoy the ride mentality last year than “we should be doing this every fucking year”.
At the same time, he wanted to be on TV and we did what we had to do to get to the B1G, which only killed the entire conference.

The numbers UW was floating around during the season, before we? won the Forever trophy didn't really scream lifetime contract.
I can see a guy who was in the process of going 25-3 being pissed about that. Then again, the roster was mostly already there for him.
You guys are jilted lovers.
DeBoer is a master of telling people what they want to hear.
He'll say what a blessing it is to be coaching professionals when he takes over the Raiders in 3 or 4 years.
Or he will say what a blessing it is to be at a humble Midwestern college when he gets fired and hired at Minnesota.
This. Nobody plays the jilted lover card better than middle aged men in sweatpants on a message board.
The largest demographics here are 25-34 and 35-44.
This should be interesting.
DeBoner: UW has low/no expectations.

Triple shit post - I had watched and deleted Utah, Oregon State and WSU and ASU before he left. Those were fucking horrible games. Triple shit post
My expectation is for DeBoer to be at Bama 2 years, be less than Saban, then jump to the NFL to avoid criticisms
Book it

Don't forget Kim, and also likely reading Damone's diarrhea posting here before he was executed.
