Was drinking Mac and Jacks and smoked a UW Natty cigar going into this movie. Going to marinate on some Ninkasi/Fremont piece of shit beers the rest of the night.
They made some orange smoothie beer a couple years ago that was the greatest thing I've ever had, but what sucks about them is they stop making shit.
I really wanted those Apple Cup themed beers in 2022. They ran out of them ridiculously fast and then didn't make any more and it pissed me off to the point of boycotting them for awhile.
I'm a big stout guysm. Pastry stouts, coffee stouts, vanilla, cherry, you name it. Make it 10+% and I'm in. With that in mind, Great Notion should be my favorite brewery, as they are constantly putting out a rotating ensemble of big flavored stouts, and no other brewery this side of Evil Twin in New York is doing that (that I'm aware of), but their flavored stouts have always come across as syrupy and artificial to me. On the other hand, their smoothie sours are the shit, and I drink them often. I think Structures brews the best fruit smoothie sours I've ever had (and beats the shit out of Great Notion for stouts), but Great Notion prices their beers at a point that isn't an insult to the buyer's intelligence, so I'll take Great Notion all day to go and save Structures for when I'm actually in the brewery drinking.
That one is not bad indeed. I guess I should clarify that it's not like GN's stouts are awful, just not the best out there IMO for the reasons stated. My brother tends to have a fridge chock full o' Great Notion (of all varieties), so I definitely drink their stouts from tim to tim as well, favorite or not.
I'm going to see it again this week. But would recommend. Don't expect Hereditary.
Expect a kind of spiritual successor to True Detective season 1. But unfortunately in a movie that should have been 3 hours but was expectedly your typically condensed A24 format.
Cinematography 10/10. Grey, overcast Oregon farmlands, white church houses that are targets for a devil worshipper. Definitely worth seeing in the theater.
The intro scene that they're hyping up on X really was that fucking awesome.

Longlegs tonight πΊπ
I'm sucking down a Great Notion triple hazy. Good chit. Makes my home brew I drank before it taste like dog water. Sad.
Great Notion is the tits

Nicolas Cage was overrated for sure.
I've been drinking Great Notion's pineapple smoothie sour. It's pretty damned good.
Review?

Great Notion blueberry pancakes is tough to beat.

Wife and kids out of town for a few days. Time for a UW Natty cigar and rewatch a few games from last season.
Longlegs round II incoming.
I poured a weed shot into Rainier last night but I don't remember if it was actually good or not.
The lame sign was a gift from someone who won it at a golf tournament so preemptive fuck off about it.
