I've been waiting for your One Battle After Another review. I honestly can't even get through the Wikipedia plot summary.
-
Goddamnit…
It has gotten some good reviews and it appears that the plot is actually "one battle, after another".
Leo doesn't do shit films for the most part….
Bought a ticket for the 8:00 showing tonight.
It's Paul Thomas Anderson. He rarely sucks…right? I didn't hate Licorice Pizza.
Honestly this is the kind of movie I usually go see with my wife on "date night" once ever 6 fucking months but she seems pretty over political movies after Civil War.
Let's fucking Go.

I need to go stock up on Oktoberfest lagers.
-
So what was in the glass?
-
I have a friend that would murder me for talking about Paul Thomas Anderson without mentioning one of the great American classics, There Will Be Blood.
He will never top that movie.
-
A Portland brewery hazy IPA which I do not remember.
I walked in and asked for an Octoberfest beer and she said they didn't have any, on September 26th, 2025 at a bottle shop.
They had literally two cans of Gerstenwolf in their fridge, which she didn't even mention at the time.

It was pretty good. I thought it would be a little funnier, but I enjoyed it. 7.5/10.
-
Best film of the past 20 years.
-
God fucking damnit vanilla.
The jokes are set up mostly in the same way, but I thought Eddington paid off much better. I don't want to spoil anything if you haven't seen it. If you're as tired of Pedro Pascal as I am you'll enjoy it more.
This movie, Sean Penn after the car crash part until the end was funny though.
I agree it was about a 7/10 and Eddington mostly was as well.
That scene with the helicopter above the forest in California was mesmerizing.

I wanted to see what his new movie was about and if it was worth checking out. Right now Keeper is the only movie I need to see unless something else comes up.

This is the drinking beer and listening to classics thread.

When you have a Scarlett Knight Championship 🏆 on the line this week, beers will be drank and classics will be listened to.
