Meat is not at FIU any longer . . . He has hired good Coordinators and recruited well. His entire staff, top to bottom, is all in on recruiting.
Now, he has to prove it on the field consistently . . .
Last year was a clusterfuck . . . in the entire PAC-12.
Limited, if any, spring practice. No Fall practice.
A rushed “Fall practice” to play games in November and December with no fans. Terrific time to play football in Oregon and Washington.
I wonder if Meat ever says to his wife. "I can cuck this whole conference by just talking and implementing the Basic SEC 101 playbook everyone uses as their starter kit (recruit like a M 'fer, and have the mindset and mentality we will be more physical than you, and by the 4th quarter broken your will and desire to be out there)
Not sure it can get much better for him than right now. SC has Clay, Stanford has Shaw and UW has Lake who's recruiting is suboptimal. That leaves just Whittingham at Utah, who can't seem to get the skill players necessary to get over the hump.
By the time anyone decides they care, Cristobal will have completely transformed the roster. His recruiting just gets better and better.
Cristobal maybe realizes he’s a bad coach but a good recruiter so he surrounded himself with decent coaches. Lake is probably the better coach but not as good of a recruiter. Unfortunately he surrounded himself with more bad recruiters. It’s going to take 2-3 years to catch up. Lake might even win the conference this year and to the casual fan Lake will look like a terrific hire.
Everything went to shit much more quickly than we could have imagined...
Watching Oregon #5 and Mykail Wright really stood out as the difference between Oregon and Washington recruiting the last couple of years
UW isn't THAT far behind on talent but they aren't getting any closer either
The fact that #5 and Wright had big penalties to help my Card out shows they are where they need to be
I have no idea to fix Lake let alone Cristobal. Oregon appears to be as content to squander talent as UW was back in the salad days of the Petersen era
And of course Jimbo Fisher is earning that 9 million with a loss to Leach and an 0-2 start in the SEC
What a fucking crap shoot
We have the wrong people in place to make the call and if we did get lucky and get someone good he will just get burned out a quit under the massive pressure to go 7-5 here

Right now talent is pretty equal between the programs as far as what 22 they can put out there. But it’s going to widen so fast with every graduating class this statement will be funny in a couple of years.
I think getting a thread going for users to highlight the worst takes in HH history could be a fun ongoing exercise for all of us. These individual recruit threads are gold mines.
Probably not but DoogWhisperer who was probably one of the losers that showed up to the spring game in Seattle, and who just lives on this recruiting sub tracking UW's offers, sure had a great time over it!

We were sad. Big whiff at the time.
This just reminded me there were serious conversations deep into both of their college careers if Mykael Wright was better than McDuffie.

Oh no another player with a nickname who doesn't fucking play, what ever will we do now..
We're they actually trying to bring this guy in? So cool to see programs basically trading portal guys.

I think @DoogWhisperer is misunderstood and just needs more time.
Well he's a duck so…
