fish getting treated like tybo’s tinder matches.

Other than Tretoro McMillan committing for a huge bag, Fisch was not a good recruiter at Zona. Not sure why things would be different here.
Also, despite Kim's constant refrain of "UW will never lose a recruit due to money", UW is currently losing lots of recruits due to money.

I would say Fish recruited above Arizonas traditional level. If he can do that at UW they should settle into the 15-20 range annually. Here is my DOOG, glass half full take. He has a seven year contract. If he wanted to win big now, he would spend what money UW has on the 2-3 players to make his team viable for 9-10 wins immediately. The DOOG hope is that he is playing the long game and saving the finances for his 2025 recruiting class. He has said multiple times, the best teams are built through the draft, not free agency. If UW doesn't close a huge chunk of the upcoming visits then he's failing. I'll reserve my judgement on his recruiting until after June.
I get it, DOOGITUP!DOOGITUP!DOOGITUP!GIF

That’s a good point. It definitely seems like more effort is going into 2025 recruiting than portal guys now. Although Fisch did say he expected a lot of new additions this spring. Thud

your optimism makes my taint hurt though I’d be ok if you were right.

If we're bashing painful taints then I'm gone, just gone.

What actually matters is that he out-scouted everyone at a fucking 1 win piece of shit school and 2 seasons later he had the year he just had. That is literally the first second and third reason why everyone said he should be at USC or UCLA in the middle of the fucking 2023 season.

Agree that looking back Fisch and staff weren't quite as elite of recruiters as maybe it got sold when he was hired. Seems like a lot of his prowess is tied to that 2022 class when he managed to get the four Servite guys to come. Though, did that require taking Fifita, who I don't think other G5 schools wanted?
-
And he just had an OL drafted in the first round by the Packers didn't he?
His team last year almost passed the smell test better than UW's besides the actual game against UW, and maybe that they blew the 17 pt lead to USC. That's all that matters to me.
