Honestly this wins any contest for anything, hands down. Live in the studio not on stage, but there was a small crowd there. Greatest recording ever, greatest jam ever. It's not close.
Jimi's guitar and vocals are obviously sick, but it's the drumming and the chemistry between the guitar, drums, and Winwood on the organ that makes it so amazing. It edges Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Soul Sacrifice live at Woodstock as my favorite rock recording ever.
