Not only is the commercial real estate industry in collapse but so is the residential real estate market. Retail sales are going down as purchasers are maxed out on credit card debt. But Buck's 401(k) plan had a good year and so did the Sugar Bowl so it's all good.
Commercial real estate is having a tough time because of remote work. Companies don't need that office space when their employees are at BEST working 3 out of 5 days a week. Is that Biden's fault? Just curious which policy you think did that?
As usual a dumb Oregon poster can't put two and two together apparently.
Employees are scared to work in large parts of Portland and other cities especially if they work later hours. Employees also don't want their cars stolen or broken into. Many companies want their employees at work but the resistance is huge. Avoid an ugly commute and an unsafe working environment. Remote work is a factor, however an unsafe working environment is also a huge factor. I avoid Portland as much as I can. You and your summer of love have destroyed Portland. You math on 60% occupancy doesn't explain a more than 85% decrease in market value. Trump is interested in a safe crime free environment. You dems are not.
Are the commercial real estate values down more than 85%? No business is moving to Portland or San Fran. Businesses are moving to Texas and Florida. You seem to like sitting on your own grenade.
Yeah but they’re not exactly filling it up in Austin or Houston now are they? The West coast cities overbuilt from their successes from 2010 and 2020 when the growth in those areas were out of control. The other cities in Texas and Florida lagged during that time period. Remote work triggered the move out and now there’s more office space in those areas than they need.
Of course Oregon Duck dipshits struggle with cause and effect, but at least you didnt run away and took your whoopin like a man.
The best, most desirable thing about San Francisco is staying inside your apartment all day long, sustaining yourself with Cheerios and Door Dash. Nobody ever walked or spent time outside in San Francisco, except current remote workers.
Tourism and hospitality industries never mattered in San Fran.

Probably still does.
For different reasons.

Open the Montgomery Park building for the homeless. It’s the right thing to do. Slabtown Leftists deserve it.

Amazon like many companies told their workers to return or get fired
Bozos left Washington and companies are leaving Portland because policies that you vote for suck. Nike is slashing their work force.
Pretty sure Texas and Florida are in better shape thanks to Musk and Bezos relocating
Of course you swallow the simpleton argument
Now do construction and all the ancillary business that thrive on a booming commercial market
Sure. And Cheerios for lunch is great for the local economy.
Is there any part of Biden you won't suck on?

Enough with this reasoned analysis. People are buying Sugar Bowl tickets for Christ sake in this economy.
Lots to disect with your post but i'll keep it simple.
So youre saying office vacancies in Austin, Houston, Dallas, Miami and Tampa is down from Feb 2020? Is that what you're telling me?
If the answer no, the vacancies are up in those cities since Feb 2020 then why are they?
Try again
Yup, when all else fails run away from the conversation lol. I knew you’d wuss out and not answer.

That ain't no grenade he sits on…
meanwhile big local commercial RE firms like Marcus Millichap had decent years.
You can’t just be able to earn when times are fat.

It’s not all because of remote work, dummy.
Commercial real estate is tanking because of crime and high interest rates due to the inflation that the left said we needed to save grandma.

Nothing existed in SF before Twitter.
