When Arkansas State (6-6) is playing Northern Illinois (6-6) in a bowl game?
It’s the kind of world where ESPN has too many channels and needs to fill airtime. The upside is being able to watch UW at 10:30pm EST 3+ times each year.
Imagine the best Oregon team ever playing Liberty on New Years.

At least this game is closely matched records with 13-0 Liberty vs virtually undefeated but 11-2 Oregon.
SMU finished ranked 24 at 11-2 but is playing 6-6 BC in a fucking baseball stadium. It’s bad enough when a weak conference champ is 7-5 playing a 11-2 team because the 7-5 team at least won their shitty conference.

Oregon might be the second best team in the country and this is what they got. Amazing.
Way to go, @Mad_Son. Can't wait for this thread to now be derailed by four pages of @SECDAWG's gibberish about his dads' friends being able to beat up Oregon's dad.

These crappy games get better ratings than top ten cbb matchups going on at the same time. When people stop watching, they’ll go away. So they’re not going away
I watched a 5-minute highlight reel of whatever godforsaken bowl Cal and Texas Tech were in at about 2:00 last night, and it prompted me to take stock of my life and wonder if I might not be a sad and pathetic loser.
Holy shit, I can't imagine watching an entire game!

Why do you hate capitalism the bowls so much?
Kids get a free trip, free swag, and one more chance to run around on grass.
TV gets money because it's better than 99% of the other trash on TV
Cities like it because tourism(?)
I LOVED it when there were about 15 bowl games. It meant something to earn a berth. And like Don James said, you'd have 15 teams end their season on a positive note.
