ESPN owns a lot of these bowls. If congress did its job for once, they'd invoke some anti-trust law, since it's clearly and monopoly and has been for way over a decade. The schools often are obligated to buy tickets and sometimes break even or even lose money. Plus, it's clearly participation trophy shit. I thought this board was against that kind of thing.
I watched a 5-minute highlight reel of whatever godforsaken bowl Cal and Texas Tech were in at about 2:00 last night, and it prompted me to take stock of my life and wonder if I might not be a sad and pathetic loser.
Holy shit, I can't imagine watching an entire game!
This made me think of me and my first roommate Rikki. We'd stay up late either playing Madden or we'd literally kick back and watch a replay of something like Weber State vs. Tulsa, and we'd watch the entire game!
