For those of you who don't know:
A Brady motion is a defendant’s request for the prosecution in a criminal case to turn over any potentially exculpatory evidence (which means evidence that may be favorable to the accused).
Defense attorneys generally bring this motion as part of the pretrial process, or later in a case, when they believe that prosecutors are withholding such information.
Even our own matchbook law school attorney Dazzler Esq. knows this one. Law School 101.

If he didn't know exculpatory evidence has to be shared with the defense, that would be surprising. That he didn't know the defense tool for challenging the prosecution's adherence to that principle is called a "Brady motion", is not that surprising. Most lawyers don't practice criminal law. He's never presided over a criminal case.
