I"m older than google history knowledge.

Didn't live it like @RaceBannon but know enough about the Zimmermann Telegram to know that foreign alliances with Mexico are a thing.

And let's not ignore Chinese current interests in Central and South America which may or may not be benign.

The US would be reacting exactly the same as Putin is if China started dropping bases in Colombia, Ecuador and Nicaragua. Though with the current clown-in-chief, dumbass might think that cause for an ice cream break.

    But but DEMOCRACY!

So only about 100 years of whataboutism needed.

And last I checked the US didn't invade Mexico after the Zimmermann Telegram.

I suppose with your logic Russia has the right to hit NATO if it invades another country. We will wait for that I suppose.

In the meantime Russia has about 6 previous Soviet republics its invaded. Totally unrelated in your mind I'm sure.

What's wrong with a negotiated end at this point?
Russia will just use it to regroup and prep for the next invasion.

Like they did already despite all the blaming NATO for every Russian advance.

    Why did Russia invade then?

Judges will not accept putting the band back together or domino theory.

Tell me why Russia has a right to dictate sovereign countries alliances under the threat of invasion. Go on, try it without going to the what about the US mattress.

Also, none of you seem to be able to answer why these countries don't want to join CSTO and have such an interest in NATO. It's a real head scratcher.

Mind you, they have borders with other NATO members.

Russia has a right to all lands adjacent to Russia!

Ffs you guys don't even make 50 page threads about US border security.

    Pssssst,

Don't mention the genocide of the Russian people in the Donbass and surrounding areas that has been going on 10 years now and carried out by the Ukrainian puppet govt since the US led coup to remove a democratically elected president and replace him with someone the US wanted back in 2013-14.

    Don't mention that part!

UN 3rd party found 7 deaths from mines/shelling per year in the region on average from 2014-2020.

Good thing Russia invaded to save all those people in the Donbass!

As mentioned elsewhere, maybe you've Googled back to 2014. I've been following this conflict since the Orange revolution. Go Google that.

You assume too much about what I do or do not know about Ukraine.

My family adopted 2 little girls from an orphanage in Ukraine before the "Orange"

We have followed closely and do not take the word of the MSM Media or the UN propaganda.

There is more going on than what you have been manipulated into believing.

Im sure there is nothing I can say to make you see the real story...,and you will probably have something else you think you can point too to win this discussion.... but the truth is going to come out and all those people waving their little yellow and blue flags aren't going to like it.

@Sources say I'm wrong but can't say who. Got it.

Such a massive Russian genocide that the number of Russian speakers increased over that period.

Your fallacy is that I believe Russia has a 'right' to invade anybody.

Your other fallacy is that NATO is morally or contractually bound to defend Ukraine.

The biggest fallacy is that the military industrial complex and corrupt grifter politicians are leaders.

    H to the TH

You told us that we have a moral obligation to avoid USSR 2.0. If Russia can't roll over the Ukraine, it poses no threat to the rest of Europe. So, Russia is only four million soldiers short of the USSR 1.0. Not only do we not have a moral obligation, we don't receive anything from our involvement except the risk of a nuclear exchange and certainly no economic benefit in spite of your mythical protestations about "selling" weapons to a party that can't repay us. Playing Team America, World Police has made what difference in the world since 1953?

The one thing that would substantially help they US economy and put a huge economic dent in the Russian war machine would be to turn on the Trump oil and gas machine. But that doesn't do spit for the MIC. China is the real world problem and we have just rolled over for them.

Russia is 100% intent on the downfall of the US and the system that enabled us to become #1. They've been doing everything they can to aid China in their quest to create a "multipolar" world devoid of a superpower aka The US. They literally state as much.

It's cute people in here think they don't have a problem with Russians. Russians have a problem with us. Reminds me of RIP @CirrhosisDawg trying to apologize for ChYnA. Complete with citing sources being paid and bought for.

Ukraine ain't my friend, but I'll gladly hand them the brass knuckles to go fight the other gang in my neighborhood...even if they get shot for it.

Tldr it serves US interests to watch Russia go down a peg or three on the international stage.

Anywho, @RaceBannon we can disagree. Some retards in here ain't cut out for the higher level realpolitik discussion board.
I don't understand why you believe an America first position is somehow support for Russia. I asked PGOS the same question and received no response. Please show 1 just 1 staement in more than 50 pages of a SINGLE position of Russian support. You have a worldview which says fight Russia and there is no room for any alternative. There is but it won't stop you from accusing your opposition of sucking Putin's cock. Unbelievable but then again I saw 5 people wearing masks in their cars alone on I-5 this morning.

America can give a few billions out of an outrageous DOD budget to Ukraine, especially when it's preventing Russia from USSR 2.0 aspirations

Additionally, it has the added benefit of showing the world that 80s American tech is better than what Russia can field in 2023 (for the most part).

America has a lot of domestic problems, of which this is a sideshow in comparison to.

It's a win/win situation in many ways for America to supply Ukraine here.

I'm not going to debate my first hand knowledge and experience with you and I already conceded there is nothing I can say to open your eyes.

You have already decided on what information you will accept as legitimate and rubbish.
63 pages isn't going to sway you into the light so don't come at me with your condecention.

If you want to have a discussion with me you can check your bullshit at the door.

Otherwise enjoy your bliss and piss off replying to my posts, and that goes the same for the orange sherbet boy and his "horseshit" replies.

It would involve massive casualties for the US and NATO countries.

    No one wants that.

And, it might lead to nukes.
Why must the US be (not support but be) NATO? So your earlier position NATO could wipe them out in 3 days really meant the United States with NATO hiding and issuing IOUs could wipe Russia out in 3 days? Hyperbole? Surely you understand this isn't remotely possible right?

    ??

You think in an all out blitz NATO wouldnt have blown the fuck out of the Russian military on every front?

The US could do it by itself.

F22s, F35s, and cruise missles would rain hell on Russia that this world has never seen.

The US is without peer and it isnt close. Then you throw in the UK, France, Poland, Turkey, Italy, Germany, etc. etc....

No one wants to invade Russia itself and claim a bunch of swampland.
