The PAC needs to stick together

It would be a power conference with a true East - West divisions structure. I don't really feel a rivalry with Utah, Colorado, Arizonas... so with them out and Florida St etc, in, much more interestingAOG said:Cobble together a "Bi-Coastal Conference" with 6 teams from the PAC (UW, WSU, UO, OSU, Stan, Cal) and 6 from the ACC (their top 6 or at least 4 top teams)

Amusing how some don't understand how the business of college sports will work in the future

Why does it rely on the fans waking up at 8 am and watching UW play Maryland for UW Football to be profitable enough to win?? Why don't we sell ad space on the helmets like the NHL while we're at it.
Embarrassing to see seasoned college fans quickly ready to drop their pants and bend over for a few dollars of B10 money while everything they actually enjoy about the sport is being ripped away.
Our role is to support the team and enjoy the product. It's Jens job to make money.
I also completely agree that leaving a power conference that has easy access to the playoff is counterintuitive to winning it all. See TCU this year. -

TCU is getting run by Michigan. Give them a participation ribbon and post game orange slicesCanadawg said:Why does it rely on the fans waking up at 8 am and watching UW play Maryland for UW Football to be profitable enough to win?? The big12 this year is better than the pac12 without USC
Losers all of you -
Yes staying in the Pac gives us? a better chance of getting clown stomped in a 12 game playoff.
I'd rather have a chance of actually winning the playoff.
We?ll never compete with the big boys on the field if we can't compete with them financially, especially not in the NIL/transfer portal college free agency world we now live in. -
If TCU is our role model, I am out.

The most important regular season in sports has now devolved to a theoretical better chance of winning a NC.
The ACC is terrible so Clemson can't win a NC right -
Race gets it. Beating up Oregon state and cal while getting paid shit money to do it is not a long term viable plan.RaceBannon said:

Some forget the band played to the very end of the titanic sinking. Also, Race was there. -
Tripled our offer for a QB they didn’t care about until the last minute. Let’s stay in the Pac and keep getting cucked!! -

NIL money isnt funneled through the athletic department. It's booster money.
We have all that we need to win and win big except for a top tier NIL, which we are getting infinitely better at (bye ramming)
The portal is also going to be an absolute game changer for us. It already has been
Glad to see the usually crowd bending over for a bunch of flat, cultureless, flyover states (hi pup) -
250k for un unproven QB, how much would Huard have been worth during the height of TBS season? Half of these clowns would of wanted the franchise tag on his ass, and he sucks(as of now, things change). QB is not something I'm freaking out about, DeBoner can crank good QB's out. Stay in the P12, have a better coach then most, develop talent, get in playoffs and be the sexy underdoog to knock off the big guys ala Peterman back in the day

So let’s be Boise State?dannarc said:250k for un unproven QB, how much would Huard have been worth during the height of TBS season? It’s sad to see how far Washington has fallen. We had a long history of paying players under the table, high paid coaching staffs, bending the rules, and taking our mercenaries to other college towns and kicking ass.
Now we can’t fill our stadium and when it is legal to run a program the way that we know can win we want to be Boise State.

It's like they cant recognize the fucking portal is the reason we are 10-2, and almost went 11-1 with a fucking playoff appearance.Canadawg said:

Ohio state is a team very few would compete with for resources. It’s not about that. Kid is silly not to take the money if that’s the case because most qb’s end up sucking.Canadawg said:

It’s about the gap in revenue getting wider between the big and pac. Paying for recruits is a slippery slope. Paying for proven talent in the portal is going to be a must. Keeping good coaches here with less pay rather than them going to revive a program back east or in the south is a reality that will be hitting hard over the next decade. -
The answer is 81%. Are you new?Kaepsknee said:

Huh? I would agree 2-3 years ago, but the conference has a lot of momentum on the field and it shows in the rankings. This old trope is not really true any longer.godawgst said:

The B1G is Ohio State, Michigan, sometimes PSU - and a then a bunch of programs UW is FAR better than.
It's a boring fucking conference.
