It may be a tad premature but I think the idea is that DeBoer, given anywhere close to talent parity, is going to beat Lanning 70 % of the time.
The only way the Husky coaches will screw themselves is getting lazy with recruiting. -

Speaking of hawt takes... so my friend brings this girl back from the bars to a house we all lived at and we get to talking to this chick and asking her what she does for a living and she told us that she was one of the head trainers for UW football(we looked her up, she was). She didn't realize that she'd walked into a house full of degenerate UW football maniacs so she immediately started getting peppered with questions. She told us that before going to the bar that she had been at the football facility and that David Long happened to be on his official visit that weekend and had committed to Coach Pete. I don't have shit for "inside sources" so this was the first time that I'd ever gotten non-public info about a recruit that I thought might actually be worth something. I continue to forget he's on our team. I don't think I've ever seen a 5 star come in and everyone just immediately accept that he's mediocre. Usually there's some flashes or hope for guys like that to figure it out. But with Smalls it's painfully obvious to everyone that he possesses no elite tools and has the natural talent indistinguishable from someone who plays for Montana State.RoadDawg55 said:

If Trice leaves, I'll be interested to see who our DE/edge guys end up being. Schmidt got a lot out of Trice and Martin this year. I absolutely hated the offer to Heims and chalked it up as lazy recruiting but the guy looked way more explosive than Smalls when he played. Maybe ZTF comes back and is fully healthy but I'll be very surprised if Smalls ever makes an impact.GreenRiverGatorz said:

There is a decent chance Trice and ZTF leave. If that we're the case we are gonna need at least 2 guys in the portal. Heims, Smalls and Holtzclaw isn't close to being good enough.bananasnblondes said:
