Great! The 14 and 15-year-old burglars were charged with also Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. They won’t be convicted of that charge unless they admit they stole the car or knew the car was stolen.
Meanwhile, the Portland citizen gets to contact their insurance company; pay to get it out of towing yard and whatever co-pays they have on their insurance policy if it isn’t totaled by the insurance company.
The young offenders will get a stern lecture from a Juvenile Court judge and a slap on the wrist. -
