A quote from Caleb after his recent visit to UW. What was Jimmy doing?

Was going to post this. Can't be a bad thing.ROOFDOOGINS said:A quote from Caleb after his recent visit to UW. What was Jimmy doing?
I enjoyed myself a lot," I was greeted with open arms by all the coaches. All of the coaches wore purple ribbons in honor of my mom for her (brain condition). I thought that was pretty cool.
"The last staff, I feel, dropped the ball with recruiting their backyard. This staff is definitely making a priority of the in-state guys and pushing their 'Loyal To The Soil' effort." -
Encouraging, but still a DeBoer>LakePOTD until we get major signingsROOFDOOGINS said:A quote from Caleb after his recent visit to UW. What was Jimmy doing?

The current staff doing ANYTHING is better than the effort given to recruiting under Jimmy Lake.
Unless you're an elite program with a national brand then you fucking better be putting tons of effort into recruiting your home state. -
To be honest Jimmy got paid to be a lazy POS. Hope he is enjoying that buyout money

Our secondary was not good. He looks fast on film. Would be a nice flip. That is my hot take analysis.

They weren’t that far off from having a good game. Balls get completed when you aren’t playing CB’s ten yards off the ball. They had some injuries and played well enough to win.AtomicDawg said:Our secondary was not good. He looks fast on film. Would be a nice flip. That is my hot take analysis.

At least the UW defensive backs were in the same area code as the receivers
Michigan State was lost o the back end -
Our DBs can play zone, they can't play man.RoadDawg55 said:

Powell did surprisingly well in the run game, and I don't think he missed any tackles -
Powell missed a tackle in the Flat against coleman on a 3rd down play. That was the only miss I saw. Clearly the coaches like his run support which is gonna keep him on the field longer than his pass coverage skillswhatshouldicareabout said:

I think Caleb is in deep thought. We all laughed off Ben Roberts at the Oregon game wearing puke gear. Well see, don't know how the coaches are pushing him but if they want him I think they can get him

MSU offense did nothing most of the game. 2 of their touchdowns their QB threaded the needle which you should expect from like a top 3-4 B1G team.RoadDawg55 said:

Everything can still needs to improve. DB's closed the game out when they had to at the end. -
MSU, mainly their QB and receivers, came through on 4th down, usually with minimal resistance. That was the frustrating thing. 4th down looked disturbingly like the old third down for UW. It's hard to be too confident in a defense that can bring on a lot of 4th and medium or long but can't make a stop.haie said:

In the old days where teams punted or tried long fgs on 4th and mid yardage, UW wins that game about 52-0. -
They also got bailed out by an illegal snap call that saved them on a failed fourth down and kept the possession (which they ended up scoring a TD on). UW gets that ball in MSU territory the rout is absolutely on.chuck said:

The game was frustrating from a defensive perspective but they did the two most important things: stopped the run and rushed the passer. I think the rest will fall into place. -
Forgot about the illegal snap bailout. Not to be Jerry Pettibone, but both of MSU's first TDs were on fourth downs and both were shoestring plays (especially the first). Irvin's pick could have been a pick six too. Unfortunately a lot of these plays were the play where it was going to unglue the crowd and probably MSU if it doesn't go their way. Thorne had a huge fourth conversion in their territory early but that was on a nice QB draw play call and/or execution.dnc said:

"Washington is still in pursuit and I told coach Juice (Julius Brown) I would give him a chance to show me he can bring back DBU to Washington," said Presley. "I would say it was a great first impression. I enjoyed watching Washington beat Michigan State. I think what stood out the most were the fans in the stadium. The game was packed out. I wasn’t expecting to see that much purple. I could tell the fans were die hard dawg fans and even came up to me to say what's up."

I forgot about the illegal snap too. What a fucked up break.dnc said:

The run defense was boner inducing. Everyone was hitting and hanging on, even the DBs.
