To be clear I don’t criticize recruits personally … if you’re getting a UW offer and you know that that could be out punting your coverage so to speak … I don’t blame anybody for taking that offer
I’m critical of taking low hanging fruit for a number of reasons
I agree with the areas that UW has shortfalls … it needs to be addressed
I also agree that I see the staff working hard … but it’s also why the low hanging fruit is frustrating
We started to suck after leveling up. I’ll take evaluation over some bullshit rankings. There are elite guys and then everyone else.
The class would be ranked much higher if it had Huard and Smalls in if. Both those guys are average starters, and that’s best case scenario.
I also went back and looked at in state recruiting the past five years. The talent is pretty bad. The fence is overrated, although elite guys like JT and Egbuka need to be at UW. There are not many guys doing much from the state.
These aren’t diamond in the rough prospects. We don’t have many of those. Most of these guys have been targeted for awhile. They may not be highly ranked but they aren’t Portland State and Montana type prospects either. The class seems like a typical UW class and ranked in the 20’s.
If DeBoer can coach, we will win. If he can’t, we won’t. Nothing has changed with Franny or with UW. -
Maybe we could use some Montana level players...RoadDawg55 said:

Looks like we let "silent commit" Jordan Sanford get away by letting him think about it for too long
Getting your pocket picked in recruiting by Texas Tech is always special -
He is the first visitor from St DeBoer's Day to not commit to UW.bananasnblondes said:Looks like we let "silent commit" Jordan Sanford get away by letting him think about it for too long

Wonder if they're content with 1 safety this year (Holmes) or if they'll go after a local kid. Or maybe the portal again. -
That better not happen with Victory Johnson.bananasnblondes said:Looks like we let "silent commit" Jordan Sanford get away by letting him think about it for too long

From what I've read, it sounds like Victory Johnson may have needed to get caught up in the classroom. I also don't think we have much competition in landing himRoadDawg55 said:

We can't get any kids who grew up in Seattle to stay here to play college football.RaceBannon said:
Might as well compliment WNBA players to try to make the slogan relevant
