Well, I'm sure he's fine. Let's just see what lemons that Georgia defense had that he turned into lemonade and I'm sure we'll notice what an amazing job he did...
1. Travon Walker 6'5" 275, (Jr.) 5-star, #22 overall 2. Jordan Davis 6'6" 340 (Sr.) 3 star, #472 overall (I guess he's kinda OK, and backed up by 5* Jalen Carter 6'3" 310, #18 overall) 3. Devonte Wyatt 6'3" 315 (Sr.), 4-star JUCO #6 overall 4. Robert Beal 6'4" 244 (Sr.) 4-star #107 overall 5. Nolan Smith 6'3" 235 (Jr.) 5-star, #1 overall 6. Quay Walker 6'4" 235 (Sr.) 4-star, #31 overall 7. Nakobe Dean 6'0" 220 (Jr.) 5-star, #19 overall 8. Latavious Brini 6'2" 205 (Sr.) 3-star #508 overall - woah haha they are really weak in the secondary, eh?! 9. Derion Kendrick 6'0" 190 (Sr.) 5-star #26 overall 10. Kelee Ringo 6'2" 205 (RFr.) 5-star #4 overall 11. Lewis Cine 6'1" 200 (Jr.) 4-star #45 overall
...so, yeah, obviously trying to piece together a lineup with a severe handicap, I don't know how one is expected to play with TWO 3-star players, and a third who didn't even sniff the top FIFTY in the nation. Profiles in Courage. Against all odds. Overcoming adversity. Not a dry in the house.
So what's Oregon supposed to do, hire a guy with no recruiting chops or one who lost with top talent? Where's this guy with no talent who fielded top 10 defenses? Ofc he won't recruit as well at Oregon. Ofc Oregon's defenses won't be what UGA fields, but ffs, were they supposed to hire a guy who didn't have success? If they'd landed Jim Leonhard it would have been "yeah but he's not going to get those corn fed front 7 guys on the west coast".
Here are the D1 games Kalen DeBoer has won: 1-3 CSU 1-5 USU 0-6 UNLV 1-11 UCONN 2-9 Cal Poly 8-4 UCLA 2-10 UNLV 6-6 Wyoming 8-4 Nevada 11-2 SDSU 3-9 UNM 5-7 SJSU
He seems like a better fit for Oregon, considering he couldn't beat Boise or Hawai'i.

You're being pretty sensitive and insecure in these Oregon threads, especially for this place. People are going to poke holes in the hires and talk shit. It's half the fun of CFB, more so if you're a UW fan and have a lifetime of broken expectations.

BUT that was a GOOOD 8-4 UCLA being led by the guy Oregon wanted to interview. I like to think he beat a 10-3 Oregon squad but for a Haener brownsocks moment too. I’d like to think that.
