Who knows. Maybe. If Jen whiffs with all of the national names then get DeBoer in and make sure he understands how overwhelmingly important recruiting is. He won at a 96% clip with 3 titles at lower levels, isn't dumb and likely understands this.ntxduck said:

-Only took two years to turn around the program (remember Stoops year 2?)
-Consistently in top third of conference since year 2 despite lack of resources or any history or tradition.
-Coach of the year in his conference four out of nine years (awards are stupid but still)

The challenge at a place like Iowa St is that you don’t get the elite depth so you can have challenges with injuries, etc … which may be a factor in some of these close losses

Yep, that game was a big part of why Iowa was so overrated because people convinced themselves that the Iowa defense had some magic ability to force turnovers while their shitty offense was somehow great at protecting the ball when really they were just running hot.Tequilla said:

Anyway, that benefited me betting against them in the Penn State/Purdue/Wisconsin stretch (wish Clifford hadn’t gone down though.) -
Iowa had a really good 5-6 game stretch
Clifford showed what happened when a competent QB goes against them and turnovers arent a factor
Likewise I’ve been fading them hard the last few weeks … I faded them against Minnesota and likely will as well when they play Nebraska -

Campbell is a above average but not porn star size dick hire. The whole does more with less thing does not always mean will do more with more. Often it doesn't

I don't love the idea but am playing devil's advocate. I wouldn't hate it either but he's not near the top. He's worlds better than Wilcox of course.
