Midnight meanderings with BTP

We have huge athletes on our OL, why are not trying to get them in space against backers and DBs? Pull people, run outside zone off a fly motion, run trap etc. My god enough of fucking duo out of the gun or under center with a fly motion.
With all that being said, Dylan Morris has lost us the last 2 games. The kid just can’t push the ball at all. I don’t know why we’re so stubborn with him. (Side note: Jalen and Rome are really fucking good players). Just let the kid play at this point. But we won’t because Jimmy is concerned about his job security and he’s going to use Morris/Donovan this offseason to try to leverage another year with a blank check to a new OC.
In conclusion, I think we all know we’re in serious trouble. This is make or break. We are trending towards getting left behind in the next 3-5 years. Jen Cohen needs to be gone by December period. It’s time to assume war time positions, heed to head back to the trenches and bring back the HHB!!! Have a good night everyone and fuck this shit fucking program.

Last thing: We make everything so easy on front 7 players it’s sickening man. We haven’t moved a lineman outside the hashes all year on a pass play. Our pass pro schemes are so fucking dull and uninspiring. You can tell these DL/LB know exactly what’s coming as soon as it’s snapped. We’ve done the same exact pass block scheme all year. (See above for run game rant).

Not to offer any excuses, but is there a RB on the roster who can actually get outside the tackles? Recruiting for that position has been brutal. This is the worst collection of RB"s in a long time. McGrew is the only guy who can make someone miss.
-
Kamari is really fucking good. I don’t know why husky fans under rate him. He was running stretch effectively as a sophomore in the 2018 Oregon game. He’s bigger and way more explosive now. Honestly have no idea why he isn’t the lead back.BleachedAnusDawg said:Not to offer any excuses, but is there a RB on the roster who can actually get outside the tackles? Jimmy and UW have had to deal with COVID stuff. Seems like you’ve forgotten that.
-
Washington has always been known to run an option. Would love to see this to get Pleasant out on the edge 5 times a game instead of stuffing the a gap with McGrew. What’s that shit play called 32 dive
-
Love how you fuc kers because I actually support the team. I'm here at the game while you're in your moms basement jacking off to your duck pictures.

Our run defense was as big a culprit as Morris

Even Ulo has been completely invisible. The lack of playmaking on defense is astounding.DerekJohnson said:Our run defense was as big a culprit as Morris

Why was Asa playing? If they were trying to stop the run, why not put Dom Hampton in and put him in the boxDerekJohnson said:Our run defense was as big a culprit as Morris

Chip almost handed us the game. UCLA should have won by 17-20 points. If they just kept pounding the rock. But Chip had to get cute with the playcalling.GreenRiverGatorz said:

Did you not hear the announcers? They stressed how physical of a safety he is and a great looking athlete.NeGgaPlEaSe said:

I agree about Kamari, Ive been conducting the mcgrew train forever but he looks like a different player now

Maybe give Kamari the rock a little more:
versus McGrew:

You like to refer to running the ball as “pounding the rock,” it’s what you like to do.DerekJohnson said:

BTP has this dialed in. Dude is getting smart in his old age.
-
Eddy and Bowman are nice depth players or starters on a lower level P12 team, Powell is what he is and seems to be the third DB off the bench. You can't rely on three walk-ons to play prominent roles on your defense and expect to play on New Years Day. Talent evaluation misses and a seeming lack of development of the kids they actually signed are damning to this staff that prides itself on those traits. It's all so depressing.
-
Eh yeah it sucks but in reality 24 points should be enough to win a fucking football game. We win that game with average QB play. Morris is so disastrous.DerekJohnson said:Our run defense was as big a culprit as Morris
-
If you're going to post "meanderings" you'll want to clear it with AAAAAAAAAAAAAAndy's lawyers first
-
The front 7 is a disaster. The DL gets r’d every fucking play and Sirm goes for piggy back rides every time he tries to make a tackle. Eddy is playing slow, soft, and tentative. The only reason we’re in games is because we’re so good at stopping the pass it limits big explosives. So we just get cut to death by the run game.GreenRiverGatorz said:

Sunday rants are fun. Good job BTP. You've been right about Morris and the offense the whole time.
Man it's crazy how Morris has regressed from mediocre (but with hope) to completely inept and downright embarrassing at times. I've never seen a worse performance by a QB on a team I root for. He is Durocher/Fouch/Lindquist level bad.
The receivers were open deep all fucking game. He can't fit the ball into a 10' window. Jesus. The only thing rushing him most of the game was his own internal panic button getting pushed the moment he couldn't see his first read coming open. The protection was fine, even great last night.
Pleasant should be on a "look at me NFL, I'm a big back with quickness, moves, hands, and good blocking" tour, but all the fuckery is hurting that. He isn't getting noticed yet, I don't think, and he should be. The guy is fucking good and still a work in progress.
What the actual fuck is going on with that pussy Asa Turner? I don't see the use of a strong safety who is always two steps too late to help finish tackles and only knows how to give ground. What is his purpose on defense? The fucking LBs are invisible out there and the only answer is to put safeties in the box who are willing to stick their head in and make plays close to the LOS. Or just keep giving up 10-20 yard runs every time the DL gets washed out.
I dont know why I'm still getting mad. Fuck is wrong with me?
-
Exactly. He pissed away 2 or 3 drives by going with the stupid formation to the sideline which resulted in a false start, incomplete pass, and our DB splitting the two blockers and making a nice play when just running or let DTR check down roll out take the 6 yard gain, etc moves the sticks and results in points.DerekJohnson said:

He was embarrassing last year we just masked it with bootlegs and pocket movement and such. People forget the feebleness in the first half against Stanford and Utah. He’s always been bad.chuck said:Sunday rants are fun. Good job BTP. You've been right about Morris and the offense the whole time.

Nah we all saw the issues last year but some, like me, thought there was potential for progress. What we've seen is regression and it's not just because they're not scheming him into easy plays enough. He is mentally broken too and has been since game one.backthepack said:

Same QB coach that destroyed can’t miss Hackenburg. We should kidnap Huard and stash him away until the Dong is fired. Fuck you Jen and Jimmy for bringing this offensive disease to Seattle.backthepack said:

DMo had an hour to wind up and hit his deep passes to wide open guys. Not even close.
