Never was about stopping cases
One big mistake was this fixation on cases … it’s distorted what success looks like -
Make everyone go virtual, cases decline, everyone comes back, cases spike, everyone back to virtual.
What’s the takeaway? Vaccinated infect the vaccinated.

Please describe the success in the jab then. Because as one that chose to get it. I feel hoodwinked and bamboozled.Tequilla said:Never was about stopping cases

As far as "Back to Normal" is concerned its' an epic fucking failure by any measure. With no end in sight.
Open the shit up. Make IVM over-the-counter. And Fuck Off.

It’s definitely time to open up. Way past due.

As soon as we get to 98% of EVERYONE vaccinated, we can go back to normal.

Israel is the most vaxed country on the planet. Covid rages! It's a feature!

The goal posts have been moved way too much … living on the West Coast anybody that thought things were opening up were foolishKaepsknee said:

The reason to get vaccinated to me resides in the data around positive cases that head to hospitalizations, ICUs, and worse.
Anybody that thinks that COVID is just going to vanish is likely fooling themselves -
It wasn't a mistakeTequilla said:Never was about stopping cases

When this whole thing started I would check out the Oregon Health Authority Covid tracker dashboard. It was obvious from the beginning who was at risk. Anyone with a functioning brain could read the data and figure out who we needed to protect. But that wasn't the goal. Don't think for a minute this was about public health. If any of you read the Spartacus PDF that poasted here, it's plain as day.
