    I used to go to the gun range a lot more frequently before I had my kids, When I first bought my Ruger I purchased a couple thousand round of .40 ammo. I haven't looked at ammo prices in over 10 years because I haven't needed any. Sparked by some of the comments I'd seen here about the difficulty in getting ammo and the soaring cost I checked out a few ammo websites last week. Holy fuck!!! Prices have sky rocketed and most of the websites I looked at had shortages for ammo.

    A hunting rifle, fighting rifle (horrible assault weapon), handgun, Riot style shotgun, hunting shotgun, suitable hunting knives, A minimum of:

    200 rounds of hunting rifle ammo plus practice ammo

    200 rounds of defensive handgun ammo plus practice ammo and 6 spare magazines

    1,000 rounds of fighting rifle ammo and 6 spare magazines

    200 rounds buck shot and slugs for the riot gun and 300+ of hunting shotgun shells suitable for game in your area

    And last I checked the murder rate in N. Idaho is nowhere near Seattle or PDX.

    So having guns and ammo makes someone a "homicidal psychopath." Got it. Btw, I've seen the Dazzler now say more harsh words against someone who has never killed anyone nor broken any laws than he did against a guy who burned his kids to death.
