Man Tui made that way closer than it had to be

That's depressing. Not then - now.
Pac 12 football. Fan-fucking-tastic.
Christ.

Amazing how much harder that team played than any of the last few years here.
I wonder, just based on talent, how many from that team would have started on last year's team. Triplett, Tui and Stevens are obvious. Who else. (Other than Neuheisel).
Elstrom made 3 catches noone on last years team makes, and probably wouldn't have even seen the field last year -
@Alexis , Rich probably plays today.Alexis said:Amazing how much harder that team played than any of the last few years here.

That game was what we used to call a Trick Whip where you bull rush and pummel the opponent before they know what hit them and then hang on for dear life

I was at that game.
That was back when Washington teams still had some tough lumberjack blood. -
There was a different feel for sureMontlakeBridgeTroll said:I was at that game.

Pharms would start. Both Curtis Williams and Akbar would start. Darrell Daniels at LB. Chad Ward. It was a different era.Alexis said:Amazing how much harder that team played than any of the last few years here.

I was going to say, at least one or two O linemen ... maybe more. That Husky team had a great O line.RoadDawg55 said:

Would Williams or Akbar move to LB? I feel like both were big safety’s and they could probably take on blocks well.RoadDawg55 said:

Elliot Silvers and Kyle Benn would start.
-
Larry Triplett would start.
-
John Anderson and Derrick Johnson would start.
-
Omare Lowe and Roc Alexander would have been darlings in JL’s secondary.
-
Moss Wayne and Johnson as a wr corps is ridiculous. Just can’t not notice that. Portis should have been starting too.
Those safeties for uw were good. Corners were pretty good too. Steven’s was a monster. The wr’s sucked but they caught more than they dropped. Too bad Juergens got hurt. Elstrom played great that day though. -
I would think more of the 2000 players would start than 2020 if you had a straight up competition. I think the 2000 team would have easily won the Pac-12 last year in a full season and ran the table if they can pull out the one game in a cfb season where everything goes wrong.
I actually only see 2-3 spots where a 2020 Husky even gets the nod in my mind.
Also, Miami not starting Portis and giving him more carries early was a god send in that game. Also, Dorsey was a disaster, though the UW defense made that happen as opposed to recent years where shit to average QBs now play the Husky prevent defense and torch it on third and long over and over again. -
Levi and Tryon would start.
-
If you told those Doogs fan there they'd only have to wait 16 years to lose to SC and Bama they'd have been proud.

Walking by a group of jocks to class every morning near Cane Hall in 2000 was a bit scary. They were not choir boys.

Unless you're talking about Cane Hall in St. George on St. Vincent and the Grenadines -
Early season inter-conference games on ABC.
Back when PAC10 football was great. -
I believe he was indeed referencing the latterwhatshouldicareabout said:

Pharms was in my Soc. class and Al Black ran that thing like a talk show, walking around putting mics in peoples’ faces. JP had a very Beastmode personality.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:Walking by a group of jocks to class every morning near Cane Hall in 2000 was a bit scary. They were not choir boys.
“Anybody in here ever been in a gang?” (1 dead-eyed person stands). “Do you mind if I ask which one?”
“DGF”
“What’s that stand for?”
“Don’t Give a Fuck!”

I think most of the Miami team would start for today’s UW team.
