Let me ask a question. In all seriousness. When was the last time upper campus has supported this football program? I mean really supported. Sark may do really well with Texas. He has a hot be
Looks like he was slated to take over for Saban.FireCohen said:

JFC. Dude is 46 years old and has now been the HC at UW, USC, and Texas. He's gotta have some sort of Jedi-mind-trick convincing skills like Jeffrey Epstein.
Maybe after getting fired at Texas, he'll end up the Seahawks' HC. It would not surprise me one bit, nothing does anymore with this ass hat. -
I like Sark just how I remember him, as a self destructive whore chaser with a drinking problem and a pill habit.Tequilla said:I hope for Sark’s sake that he’s solved all his demons because going to Texas/Austin will be a pressure cooker the likes he’s never seen before
There are few people on earth who I have this much disdain for. I don't hate Sarkisian. I just don't care one tiny bit about him or his welfare. He still exists in a high profile position so I wish to be entertained by his continual wasting of opportunities of a lifetime. -
i forgot about the atlanta years, all the articles ive read about 'this home run hire' seem to have as well.dnc said:
that bammer offense was humming under daboll and kiff, sark just kept doing that. -
I just don't see what Sark brings that Herman doesn't. Texas has a culture problem that's chewed up two coaches now. Sark was a terrible program manager.
I've never seen someone benefit from NOT or NO LONGER being a total drunk than Sark.
It's like because he was so drunk at UW and USC he gets opportunities other people wouldn't. Mystifying. -

“I thought Budda was going to choose UCLA instead of Oregon so when he committed to Oregon I figured there was no chance for him to change his mind.”
These were actual takes by the doogman guys. Of all the dumb shit they have poster, these rank right bear the top. -
The boosters are crazy at Texas. I don’t think he will be a huge upgrade over Herman either, but he is doing very well at Bama. I think he’s a very, very good OC. Yeah, it’s Bama but after his success he will get the very best skill guys.Kingdome_Urinals said:I just don't see what Sark brings that Herman doesn't. I don’t see how he makes Texas the physical force every team needs to be. I’m with most here, it very likely won’t end well, but I am excited to watch.
I never thought Chip Kelly would ever be as bad as he became. Harbaugh is a joke at Michigan at this point. Things do change in CFB. I would hire Sark over either guy right now which seems unfathomable from when they were all in the PAC 12.
I knew for certain Sark couldn’t hack it at USC. I’m a lot more on the fence about him at Texas but the pressure is going to be high, they haven’t been all that great for awhile, and they will expect him to compete for natties right away. -
Has anyone mentioned the franchise opportunity for a Joey Austin location?

I have a theory that's been bouncing around in my head for a while when it comes to schools like Texas and coaches who win:
After going through a college S&C program and aging up a few years, the difference between a can't-miss 5-star player and a run of the mill 3-star shrinks. In some (albeit rare) cases, the 3-star passes the 5-star. This is where system and coaching becomes important. The talent gap after years in a good program closes enough that winning and losing isn't perfectly predictable by talent ratio (although it's a decent mile high guide). A program like Texas, though, is just such a phenomenal outlier that it's worth a closer look. The talent:performance ratio is off the charts bad. If players of that caliber were developed at the same rate as the average player and put in an even remotely decent offensive/defensive system, their schedule should basically be Oklahoma and that's it.
Now that I've rambled enough, my theory is that what separates great coaches like Saban and Meyer, etc. from flameouts at schools like Texas, Georgia, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, etc. is that they command enough respect from 5-star athletes that the kids come into the program and behave in the same way a 3-star would at their dream hometown school in bumfuck Kansas. My theory is that managing the egos of top-50 recruits is Saban and Meyers' greatest gift as coaches. They're bigger than even the #1 recruit in the country, and the recruits know it. This matters. They're able to get these primadonnas to play for the team instead of themselves.
There's zero explanation for Texas' record over the last decade+ other that elite athletes no buying in. The pieces have always been there.
I don't see Sark as the kind of coach who is going to command the respect of the type of recruits that will be available to him. He's going to make promises, blow them daily like they've been blown daily their whole lives, etc., and the cycle will continue. What high school All-American isn't going to believe he's better at what he does than Sark is at coaching? -

Texas, despite all the money isn’t a blue blood Football school anymore. They haven’t won a conference Championship in 12 years. And have won 3 in the 25 years that the Big 12 has existed. One more than Baylor and Kansas State.
I know Doogs will downvote this to death. Because it’s Doog nature to hold the once mighty in high regard for decades after their fall. -
I'm not sure I would say "decades" after the fall. They have had a rough decade for sure, by their standards, but they won a BCS NC 15 years ago and played in another one 10 years ago. Hell they won a Sugar Bowl a couple years ago. So yeah, they have had a rough decade, but just like USC they are only one good Coach away from dominance again - same as Bama, USC, etc.Kaepsknee said:Texas, despite all the money isn’t a blue blood Football school anymore. Disagree about USC. The real Blue bloods have sunk their hooks into LA area High Schools and Clay Helton will be there coach for the foreseeable future as they don’t give af about Football anymore. And a 2022 recruit doesn’t remember any big Success at USC.
Most outside of Texas football with half of a brain know that they are Wisconsin and Michigan. And clearly the AD and boosters haven’t a clue as to what they are doing. Sober Sark will get you 8-10 wins per year at Texas. The same as Herman did. But there’s no way they supplant Oklahoma as a perennial champ.
So in 3 years, they’ll be hiring the Indiana coach and will see the same results.

I remember when UT fans used to treat TAMU fans like they were basically Southern coogs and beat up on them every year without really trying. TAMU was squarely the #2 and It was a hilarious rivalry and it boosted both programs significantly.Kaepsknee said:Texas, despite all the money isn’t a blue blood Football school anymore. Now tamu has moved to the SEC, UT has an open invitation for tamu to come back and play them and tamu big dicks then with a “no” every year and the shine is a little bit less on UT. Tamu used to be the stupid younger brother, they are closer to equals thanks mostly to UTs decline and Tamu SEC dick riding.
A smart UW AD would call up UT and get a home and home series against them in the next two years... not only would it be prime time sark returns TV bullshit but they are not nearly as scary as they used to be and beating them is still considered a big deal. -

Call it what it is.
Do I need to bump all your fucktarded takes from Sark’s lawsuit against USC?
Clearly Sark had an alcohol problem and allegedly infidelity and payoff challenges from that infidelity
Sark’s clearly a talented guy who has a lot of personal challenges that have got in the way
I’m well past the point of finding joy in Sark’s failings
"I'd expect that the SC lawyers will play a bit of hard ball to make Sark and his team sweat a bit and see if they can get them to accept a lower settlement but behind closed doors they know that they'll lose badly if they go to trial on this.
I expect that Sark will probably settle for somewhere around $15M and be hired on as a studio analyst on the PAC Network next year"
Outcome? $0. -
Take it to the bitter ex girlfriend bored if you guys want to talk about it 24/7. Clean it up out here.

Swaye is right, if you think Texas and SC arent one real coach away from pushing people’s shit in you are dead wrong

Also nobody gives a fuck about TAMU lmao. This is coming from somebody who grew up at Kyle Field on crisp fall days with my dads.
