This. Thanks. It’s hard to base a living as a running back in the NFL counting on what you describe. So the NFL will likely mean not for long if that’s what he needs to thrive.chuck said:We could all see that the key for Ahmed at UW was to get the correct play calls. He wasn't good enough to make a bad play a good one. He wasn't powerful enough to grind out yardage in tight spaces. What he was good at was exploiting a big hole or opening outside the tackles.
They must be doing a good job blocking and scheming to get him going. As long as he has that he could be a good, dangerous back for a long time. -
He was misused at UW. He is an outside zone runner. Now he’s being used correctly he can use his god given gifts

The scheme should have used him better, I said it a lot when he was here, but he wasn’t a good college RB
IDGAF about the nfl, he left early and went Undrafted, if he found a spot where he is used better in line with his abilities or he finally worked on a lot of the things that held him back like his vision, decisiveness, blocking, and pass catching then good on him I guess. -
Which is what I expect, but he'll buy himself years and $$ every time he has a nice game or stretch of games because he really looks impressive when it's going well.creepycoug said:

It wasn’t a putrid OL and like a Creep said, Gaskin did it 4 straight years.backthepack said:
He was a 1,000 yard back running behind a putrid offensive line! Quit moving the goalposts old man!creepycoug said:

If he has a career, and it's a bit early for that, let's revisit. Until then, he sucked like a donkey at UW. Maybe he just didn't care and wanted to save himself for the NFL. Sounds like your kinda guy Fudgie.
Chris Polk has three 1,000 yard season behind a putrid OL. Ahmed’s was above average. -

He was soft. Get off your knees for Christ’s sake. It’s embarrassing.backthepack said:He was misused at UW. He is an outside zone runner. Now he’s being used correctly he can use his god given gifts

Soft running backs don’t go for 122 yards in the NFL. Hth.creepycoug said:
