The funny thing is the one "savior" we have coming in next year plays the same position as the one guy on offense who is unexpectedly good
-
how can any od them sleep with themselves at night? what a disgrace for the ages -
Morris struggled with the deep ball before today, and he still has issues with finding the open receiver (Otton on that seam, Ty Jones on the crossing route) and placement (missed Rome when he was wide open and probably could've housed it).bananasnblondes said:The funny thing is the one "savior" we have coming in next year plays the same position as the one guy on offense who is unexpectedly good
Even if Morris is better than expected, if Sam is an improvement, he will be welcomed with open arms -
At what point do we start the conversation again about shitcanning Malloe. He had 2 good years of recruiting and 4 awful years of recruiting. The D line looks awful.BaldwinIV said:

Hard to say. Taki, Tuli, Bandes, and Tuitele all look like the real deal. Bronson was getting blown out at the LOS and should've been pulled weeks ago. If that personnel call was on him, then yikes. The rest of it looks like Kwat. Why are we coming out in a base 4-2 of Tuli, Bronson, ZTF, Smalls, Sirmon, and Ulo against a power run team that did nothing surprising for an entire first half while we sat by and watched? Maybe keeping Bronson in is on Malloe, but I have to think Kwat and Lake are almost solely responsible for yet another atrocious first half of defense.bananasnblondes said:

The Gaines, Vea, Johnson rotation in 2015 was not just better than what we have now, but a lot better. Another example of leveling up bullshit. DL is bad. I can't say with certainty that any of the guys we play now are good. Tuli has flashed, that's about it.bananasnblondes said:

I love ZTF, but he is not a run stopper and playing him every play diminishes his effectiveness. Stanford schemed Smalls and realized he can be ran at and isn't capable of doing anything about it right now. -
Its difficult to determine if it was actually a position group problem or an overall scheme problem...bananasnblondes said:

In order of heads I want on a pike... (metaphorically not calling for genocide)
1) Lake
2) Kwat
3) Malloe
4) Asa
5) Bronson -
dont see specials team/lb Coach on this list, assume technical difficultyHouhusky said:

not having Levi hurts hard

I absolutely hate the angle one gets on tv, often not showing what's happening downfield. I feel like he is hesitating on pass plays, but I could be off. Also, his height is a hindrance. Had a couple of well scripted screens only for his lack of height impact the trajectory on the ball.
I absolutely hate the bunched formation, then trying to run from it. I mean lets just invite the other team completely into the box. I don't know. FYFMFMFMFMFMFMFMFE -
I'd love to know how many snaps Tuitele and Bandes had tonight. Bronson was a serious weak link.
-
I don't think I saw Tuitele out there. I know I saw Bandes a couple times

Tuitele plays goal line sets. Didn’t see him much after that.BeerThirty said:I don't think I saw Tuitele out there. I know I saw Bandes a couple times

The kids played well and pretty much dominated the second half (23-7). The coaches lost this game in the first half.

Didn't they all get raises in the offseason? -

That is on the coaching staff, their insistence to run lead dive into stacked boxes in insanity. We have one of the best TEs in the country and a really talented WR corp. Morris is pretty good too. Unleash the passing the offense. Try to score 40+ every game. It’s just stubborn and dumb at this point. -
Are you saying that UW has no depth? Having 1 specific guy out vs a shitty Stanford team should make that muchnof a difference?BeerThirty said:not having Levi hurts hard
Fucking horrible take. This team shouldn't have missed a beat. This is on Jimmy. Nut the fuck up and fire your POS buddy if you want to be a winner.
Pete couldn't. That's why he quit. -
We win that game if we throw 34 times instead of running 34 times.TommySQC said:

Did I say this this this this this.
And the worst part. Jimmy HAD TO KNOW that Pete was going to get rid of Gregory and KB, but couldn't so he walked away and yet Jimmy still KEPT them. -

Outside of Molden, who else hits hard in the secondary? -
Worst part about this is im 81% sure Morris scores a walkoff td if given another chance
-
Agree. They couldn’t stop our passing game all day. Boggles my mind why we didn’t throw more!PostGameOrangeSlices said:Worst part about this is im 81% sure Morris scores a walkoff td if given another chance

We stopped ourselves in first half with penalties and punting twice when we should have gone on 4th down.
Seven of those runs were Morris scrambles (maybe one designed iirc) so it wasn’t that uneven. -
A little bit of SR leadership would have been good. Bronson, who on his best day is average and a bunch of SO and FR who are talented but maybe could have used a guy like Levi on the field. That was my takeTommySQC said:

Bunch of drops by Culp and the WRs too. That holding call on Ty's TD with 10:00 minutes left in the 4th was also a killer.

Holding penalty sucked but we still couldn’t stop Stanford when we knew specifically if they were going to run or pass from every down after that. Really disappointing.Kingdome_Urinals said:Bunch of drops by Culp and the WRs too. That holding call on Ty's TD with 10:00 minutes left in the 4th was also a killer.
The defense is just not good. 3/4 games they got their shit pushed in on the run game. It is who they are at this point. -
Somehow this whole trope rolls out every year, that the defense sucks because it does what it's designed to do and as a result has been the #1 defense in the P12 for the past 81 years.
What is KwatFS is not figuring out that Stanford will do this every year, run "big boy" (ILTCIBB, ILTDT) formations over our 2 DL formations. Your bending defense is breaking giving up drives of 11, 9, 9, 14, 7, 6, 2 (TO), and 14 plays.
I'm pretty stupid, but how about a different base defense with your top 8 line stuffers rotating through 4 down linemen and 12 best tacklers situationally subbed in and out? Anything is better than a front 8 on 8 where we have a slight advantage at 1-2 positions, they have a slight advantage at 2-3, and they have a massive advantage at 4 positions. -
I know we have Alabama talent on defense, but I don't think right now weº really have the depth to put out that front.Emoterman said:Somehow this whole trope rolls out every year, that the defense sucks because it does what it's designed to do and as a result has been the #1 defense in the P12 for the past 81 years.
