3 drops that should have been caught

Fuck Ty Jones
-
offense is not the problem. that we know
-
My issues are with Puka & TaiJah
-
Kid looks great
WR’s suck asd -
Our receivers can't catch during late games. I'm not sure what it is but Cal and Stanford were the two massive drop issue games last year. Oregon State now. They need to practice catching under the lights or something.

I’m sure that’s it.dnc said:Our receivers can't catch during late games. I'm not sure what it is but Cal and Stanford were the two massive drop issue games last year. Oregon State now. They need to practice catching under the lights or something.

It's probably just random but they haven't had issues like this during day games.AtomicDawg said:

I know you are throwing stuff at the wall cause they shouldn’t have this problem.dnc said:

Ty Jones never get separation so he is always contested. Makes some nice catches but has dropped plenty like the would be TD pass tonight too.
Bynum and puka I have no idea with. If I am the dc for the beach I am stacking ca the fun and forcing deep passes to connect. Morris looks fine on the short and intermediate stuff.

Where did the D go?

Wrong thread. Fuck it I'm drunk

Stands in the pocket, has had a couple nice throws dropped. Seems fine to me. Not sure about his penis size, but based on the first half I'm sure he's adequate.

If that looks "fine" to you... I'm at a loss. Freshman Jake Browning was trusted more to throw the football than Morris.
I have a hard time believing Sirmon would have looked worse. -
Did @GrandpaSankey satsrt this thread?

Check the time stamp on that post. Fucking mmqb posters. Several drops and the play calling didn't exactly give Morris much of a chance to do any more. Biggest concern I have is the knock downs.FremontTroll said:Did @GrandpaSankey satsrt this thread?

Gotcha... but the QB competition is far from over if this is what we're looking at.BleachedAnusDawg said:BroadcastingDawg said:If that looks "fine" to you... I'm at a loss. Freshman Jake Browning was trusted more to throw the football than Morris.

Imagine Egbuka watching that shit and wondering why on earth he'd ever want to come to UW.
Sam Huard can't get here soon enough.
I want to see Sirmon... he could throw 5 picks next week but at least we'd know. -
Lol we threw the ball 3 times in the second half and before that Morris had 4 passes dropped plus 2 deflections at the line of scrimage. He could very well suck bad, but we simply do not have enough of a sample size. To suggest otherwise is ridiculous you can't judge him off of 24 throws when 4 of them were drops.BroadcastingDawg said:If that looks "fine" to you... I'm at a loss. I was genuinely hoping we'd see drives from both Sirmon and Morris. Feels like a robbery that we didn't.betadawg said:

Saw nothing from Morris today that got me dooging. I’m pretty worried to be honest. Offense looked vanilla as shit.
-
Again why would we see drives from Sirmon when Morris did nothing wrong?? Makes 0 sense.BroadcastingDawg said:

How about coming out and playing like a fkn stud that plays for a feature P5 program?
Can that not be the standard? -

For a RS Freshman playing his first collegiate game as a starter against a PAC-12 opponent on a rainy November Saturday, I wouldn't shit on him with the win.
Morris didn't make too many mistakes and I was mostly surprised and impressed with his poise in the pocket -- he looked calm and comfortable in the pocket than our previous three QB's.
With that said, the midget needs to get better soon or we are doomed as our D don't look like they'll be able to win us games this season.
How about them receivers what the fuck is wrong with all of them. -
That may have happened if Bobby Greggy didn’t Greg the bed at the start of the game.BroadcastingDawg said:

Morris isn't a huge issue ... making his 1st start he managed the game well and by and large didn't make any material mistakes. Yes, there are some limitations and question marks over his ability to push the ball down the field but he showed good poise and awareness. First thing I look at when I look at a QB getting their first snaps are whether or not the game looks too big or fast for them. That wasn't the case with Morris. Would love to have been able to see the game in person to get better insight.
And yes, the WRs could have definitely helped him out better. In particular two situations stood out:
Fade to Ty Jones in the end zone: Probably a little bit under thrown but Jones reacted poorly to the ball and instead of coming forward to high point the ball he let the ball get into his body while off balance. High point the ball and it's a better catch under control and/or you get the defender to run through you and pick up the PI in that situation.
Throw to Odunze in the end zone: Odunze made a very freshman mistake by getting cement footed and not coming back to the ball ... failing to do that allowed the defender to catch back up and make a play on the ball. -
Yeah, Morris wasn't the problem today. Missed FG, Blocked Punt, endzone drops by WRs...
Neither offense or defense played great, but that game could have been a 14 point win for UW. -
Morris is an issue because apparently he is the best QB we have and our offense is absolutely terrified to throw the ball. You don't have to analyze every throw, the gameplan tells you all you need to know.
-
I'm more worried that our wrs couldn't catch a cold. Plus, did we forget that Otten is a good TE?

Since when has “fine” become the standard? Fuck off
