With the first game this Saturday, how are people feeling about watching Husky football again?

From the preseason poll, there is a lot of cautious optimism about the program this year with uncertainty at the top, but with talent in almost every position group. Still, now that it's game week, might as well check the pulse of the forums again and see where people are.

    I'm dooging because minus this year's clue game level recruiting, the talent level in the program is the best a lot of years, and as Chuck Knox used to like to say "football players make football plays", but if you are not dooging, you have a lot of company ~ after the opening line was orginally listed at UW -6.5 about 10 days ago, last night I threw down some $ at UW -1.

    I am who I am. I am not yet old enough to be jaded like you older fellas by consistent disappointment. The season is almost here and I always get excited. In the last 4 seasons I’ve seen conference championships, as well as inexplicable losses to lesser teams, and let’s not forget blowout losses in big games. There have been great highs and despondent lows.

    This year may be a complete clusterfuck, but it could also be a conference championship that I can enjoy because I have an unhealthy love for Husky football.

    So as we get closer, I start looking at what is good and what can go right and I start Dooging. I’ll leave the meltdown for the middle of the season when shit inevitably goes wrong.

    It's been a while since I've been so interested in seeing Game 1 of the season ...

    My reaction after the game will be as polarized as this election has been ... I'm either going to be ready to fire Jimmy Lake or doog the fuck out

    Reading some Caple stuff suggesting a decent sized roll for Jack Westover concerns me ... I worried about his safety every play last year

    The more I see being reported the more I’m worried that Jimmy’s all over the place and has no real clue how to manage a program
    If god didn't want wet farts in church then he wouldn't have made assholes.

    I can understand this fear more if he didn't spend the last decade learning behind one of the best program builders around. Say what you want about every other aspect of CPs coaching but he managed well and there's no way Lake slept though every coaches meeting since Boise
