Being one of those people who supported Democratic policies in Seattle in my twenties, and then saw the consequences of same policies in my thirties and now early forties, all I can say is you based those decisions on who you were, the company you kept, and the information you had at the time. I tried to fight the good fight in Seattle/Bellevue once I had my political reawakening, but I’m just one person.
So, I don’t think people should be punished in perpetuity for what they thought was good government at the time by having to live in that same region that is no longer in alignment with their new way of thinking/living. -
