Tim Kennedy on with Joe Rogan (Must listen / Must watch)

Don't disagree with this, but have to agree with @Houhusky on some of this...Rogan is free to think and vote how he feels. I'm not an avid listener of his podcast but I've heard a few and enjoyed them. But there isn't a whole lot of thinking going on in Rogan's head if he's leaving Cali because its turned into a hell-hole (taxes, homelessness, govt intervention in businesses, etc.) due to politics he's supported in the past, and then he keeps those same political ideas while moving to a place he likes better (which has prospered in part by not enacting those policies...).RoadDawg55 said:
Maybe he just is tired of California and realized he doesn’t have to live there? These guys all loved the Comedy Store. That is shut down.Houhusky said:
People dont like it if you endorse ideas, leave the place enacting a lot of your ideas because its turning to shit, and then keep those same ideas.RoadDawg55 said:
So you don’t like him for one thing he did or an opinion you don’t agree with? Not even sure what you’re talking about, is this a Bernie reference? The guys puts out four podcasts a week that are three hours long, with no bits, just conversation. He has an open mind towards everything. I don’t get what’s not to like?UW_Doog_Bot said:
yeah, sorry not sorry, not going to get on knees for one of the people that advocated stupid liberal California politics and then abandoned ship on the statism he helped create.RoadDawg55 said:What a gift Rogan is too. I will never become one that picks everything about him apart. I even feel guilty about saying he’s not a great comedian because by any real measure, he is. Just shows we all pick apart everyone in the internet age, even guys we love.
Fandom was always stupid. I can’t fathom liking something so much to spend hundreds on them like people do with certain musicians or sports with tickets, jerseys, etc, but Rogan would be right bear the top for me. He was podcasting before it was cool, put in years of putting out a quality show that was HIS show, and now he’s rewarded for it. The guy is a national treasure.
I like Joe but in my eyes it's pretty unforgivable that he didn't take a hard look in the mirror at that point and instead just packed it in and moved to help make Texas the next blue state.
Has he said why he left?
To avoid California income tax on the 100 million dollar deal or something? Seems a bit hypocritical for a guy that has said how much he likes Bernie and Tulsi type candidates.
Him agreeing with Bernie points doesn’t mean that is who he is. He has tons of episodes. I don’t give a fuck who he votes for. This shit is the same problem as people who want to cancel everything. Either enjoy the show or don’t.
Its hard to take anyone seriously who says in one breath they are a Bernie guy and then says in another they want to move to Texas because Texas is doing things correctly...

Rogan is a fuck. Sit in Cali and reap what you've sewn fuckface.HoustonHusky said:

That's my problem with Rogan and why I won't listen to him on any regular basis. I like authentic and being a Bernie supporter while fleeing the Cali government hell hole that he helped create doesn't strike me as authentic. I also like reasoned grown up behavior and again even if Rogan stayed and said that he loved paying higher taxes, being a Bernie supporter is not a reasoned position, but one built on a wad of feeling and ignorance.

Love you buddy, but don’t understand. What does Rogan have to do with California? What difference does it make where he lives? He didn’t want to be there, tax reasons are probably the truth, so he left. I feel like I’m missing something.Swaye said:

Your missing the hypocrisy.

People just commented they would like a bit of self reflection from a guy who said he was voting for Bernie to a few months later signing a 100 million dollar contract, complaining about high taxes, and fleeing a state that is the fledgling image what he would vote for on a national level.
Its just pointing out the hypocrisy of a guy moving to Texas who stepped out when the bill came to his end of the table.
I have no idea what you are on about here? Nothing that is said on this board makes a difference in anything. -
More downloads for me.

The clip I linked earlier in the thread actually sheds a lot of light on Rogan's mentality... He says "This state [California] is bankrupt because they are incompetent... I dont like the way things are run here"HoustonHusky said:

For Rogan, his conclusion is not that the ideas are bad, its just that they aren't implemented better. -
Which is just another childish thought. You think it is incompetence when Cali has 1/8 of the US population and 1/3 of the US welfare cases? You think open borders is just incompetent management? Rogan voted for politicians promising to increase taxes on the wealthy and thinks that a 13.3% state income tax rate is due to incompetence?Houhusky said:

Rogan: Lives in CA, votes/advocates for socialism/progressivism
California: Enacts socialism/progressivism, things go to shit
Rogan: Moves to Texas bc things went to shit, votes/advocates for socialism/progressivism in Texas
It's HARD to see why as a Californian I have a problem with that...
