It’s not that serious and while this is entertaining, it’s sensationalized. It’s a lot of people (mostly young) that don’t have jobs and have nothing better to do.
Fox News and conservative media had a field day about it and I get their point about what the reporting would be if it were right wingers instead. It needs to end before something bad inevitably happens and Seattle is pussified, but we already knew that.
Seattle fucked up letting it get to this point. Now, you either have to let it stay until something really bad happens and the public demands it or force them out, which could also have consequences. -
Last time I saw something like this were the 1979 student protests against the Shah in Iran. Peaceful, loving and supportive, they lost power and resolve within months and the world wound up with Ayatollah Khoemeini in power.
Sometimes when you wreck a system you wind up with an even worse system. But by then it's too late.
