They'll put pedals in so you can help charge it while you drive.

Won’t happen here. Mine has a Prius and liberal mobile vehicle deterrent.

Has anyone run the numbers of scaling up to everyone driving an electric car? Let's look at a few things
Expensive batteries that don't last and can't be recycled but require ingredients that we will need to rape third world countries for. Landfills galore
Completely changing the grid and delivery of electricity to power your 60 mile trip. Massive new electric generation using coal and other fossil fuels
But it sounds neat. The next thing is well it won't work so let's just get rid of all individual cars which SURPRISE has been the goal all along. Socialists hate freedom of movement among the serfs because its freedom
They want us in a box where they can find us
Good ideas don't require force.
Same thing with our now rotting wind mills that provide less than 5% of energy at an inefficient cost.
Let's not have the church of climate change enforcing their beliefs on us with a gun. Thanks in advance -
The free market will kill gas cars faster than any hypothetical socialist doomsday scenario you want to imagine.MikeDamone said:

I'm all for electric vehicles. If you believe what you wrote then you agree there is no need for a law. Which is my point.ThomasFremont said:

I love following a $100,000 S Model Tesla and figure out that the American taxpayer forked over $7,500 in federal tax credits and that the dude is paying zero dollars for road construction and maintenance. That is just phu*cked up. As long as the guy isn't HH, I don't blame him for taking the free money. Of course, HH strongly feels he doesn't pay enough in taxes, but won't voluntarily right a check for the true-up unless he is forced at the threat of a gun.

There is no law forbidding the purchase of gas cars. Clutch your pearls harder.MikeDamone said:

(1) "2030 requirement" refers to the requirement that all
7 privately owned and publicly owned passenger and light duty vehicles
8 of model year 2030 or later sold or registered in Washington state be
electric vehicles. -

Shit like this makes me want to burn a truck tire in my front yard. Agree with @YellowSnow the free market will sort it out. Alternative energy solutions will be in abundance when we're done burning dinosaur blood. Until then, ain't nuttin' better.

It’s not a law. But still.RaceBannon said:(1) "2030 requirement" refers to the requirement that all

Ok they are just trying to make it a lawThomasFremont said:

its just a bill working its way through the legislature.
Should we be concerned about it after it passes or can we go ahead and argue against it before it does?

The title of the OP recognizes it's a bill.
Normally i'd dismiss this as something that has zero chance. Given the make up if the state legislature and the governor I'm not so sure. -
Need to pass it to find out what's in it.RaceBannon said:

It seems to be a common refrain among the left. Propose something stupid then say hey it probably won't pass anyway!!!!!11111!!!!!

Your concern is noted. I’m sure a bill in the earliest stage of the process will have dire effect on you in CA.RaceBannon said:

I'm not sure why being concerned about attacks on our freedom by elected politicians seems to concern some people. This isn't some nut cases on Twitter, these are elected politicians. Hell, the governor of Washington wants this sh*t. The Oregon legislature is aching to pass a cap and trade bill that is equivalent to a 22 cents a gallon gas tax. You think the low information dem voter actually want this? That's why it isn't a tax. It's called cap and trade and is sold as a pain free way to do "something" for the planet. Race and 38 million Californians are already paying that tax. Has that cooled the earth yet? Phu*cking stupid ideas shouldn't be ignored, they should be exposed and ridiculed.
