No one is saying Ahmed is bad. His tool set is just not an every down RB, he needs space. He runs into his own lineman and other defenders way too much and just falls over if running between the tackles, this isn't debatable.

Newton is averaging almost 5.4 yards per carry and has a long of 23. He’s consistently getting Solid yardage. One guy can’t bring him down.Houhusky said:

I think the frustration of Ahmed has always been more about feeling that the coaches should be getting more out of Ahmed by using him differently. Its amplified by the fact that both Newton and Mcgrew have shown to be more than competent as fill ins for how the staff has traditionally chosen to use Ahmed and the WRs have not been great. -
