Losing JJ is a big loss for the 76ers

I don't disagree that Butler isn't the greatest player off the ball ... but he has the kind of ability in him in the Playoffs to really be a difference maker. Nobody else on their roster besides Embiid can do that for me.

Admittedly, I'm not a Ben Simmons fan ... he's got to get significantly better (particularly as a shooter) before I look at him as a Championship caliber player.

I still feel like there is a move in the 76ers ... and I think it's moving Simmons

Is it possible for them to be able to move Simmons in a deal that can get back Bradley Beal? Who says no to that deal?

Why does Washington need a PG who can't shoot? Easy no for them.

I'm from the Dan Lebatard camp. Durant matters for a year from now. Kawhi matters now

    Nothing else matters

He'd be doing the Hornets a favor. Knicks are easy to make fun of because they're a big brand... but if we're being honest the Hornets are the worst run franchise in the league. Not offering Kemba the max was absurdly stupid
The Hornets may have fucked up by not trading Kemba ...

But not signing him? What's the point of them going into massive luxury tax hell when they aren't even a Playoff Team?

They got Rozier to replace Kemba ... and overpaid him but whatever.

They just need to clear out all of the bad contracts that they have and bottom out. The biggest problem that they have is that they are always trying to be competitive but never to the point of actually being good.
A lot of their bad contracts come off the books after next season, they'd only pay the tax for one year.

A franchise needs to position itself to either compete for a championship or to rebuild for one. The Hornets are doing neither of those things, they're just kind of settling for being a 35 win team. No great young pieces either

Plz god Kawhi don’t go to the Lakers. We might get some insane legit parity because their are going to be so many equally good teams.

Blazers upgraded the most by letting Chief walk and flipping Baze for Evan Turner.

Christ, if Kawhi didn't like how Tony Parker treated him, he sure as fuck isn't going to like Lebron going off during a timeout.

I have a guy in Walla Walla who says that it's down between the LA teams and Toronto with Kawhi. Kawhi wants to be in LA but will give Toronto the last pitch for his services.

    Keep working the phones Cunt!

I have no idea why the Warriors would sign Russell. That is a bad move. You can’t hide him and Curry on defense. It’s not a place for a ball dominant guard. There are already rumors that Russell will get traded. This was probably more about swapping Iguodala’s expiring contract for a young asset.

Horford was a weird signing by the 76ers. I don’t hate it though. They won’t miss Butler or Redick too much. Redick is too shitty defensively to be counted on as a big minutes player at this point. Josh Richardson is good and helps them get more athletic.

Butler is one of those guys that is a complete waste on a max contract because he doesn’t really move the needle and he’s a cancer. They also should have fired Brown.

@Tequilla, Ballmer isn’t moving the team to Seattle. Don’t be stupid.

Best chance for Seattle getting a team in the next 5 years is for Zion to blow out a knee and his achilles. That'd be the final death blow to the NBA in New Orleans.

Fuck Howard Schultz and fuck Steve Ballmer too. Ballmer could have bought the Sonics for 1/6 of what he paid for the Clippers and he dicked around.

    Fuck both those guys.

You get Russell because he’s an asset for them to flip down the road

They won’t have cap space for the duration of the Steph/Klay contracts

Been in the league 3 years. One of the worst court iqs in the league, shit teammate, hasn’t improved his shot since coming into the league—those things aren’t getting better. His peak is a 2nd/3rd guy off the bench. The only reason he’s somewhat serviceable is because Brad Stevens is a genius (see; Evan turner).

Not a finished product, but will never be better than a 4th option on a real championship team.

I can see him as a 3rd option but not sure that he can get above that ... point taken

Going into this year I could see Tatum being somewhere in the low 1st to high 2nd range ... he’s probably in the 2nd to high 3rd going into this offseason

Cousins and Rondo to the Lakers on 1 year deals.

I thought it didn't workout for AD and Cousins last time, but now that Cousins is clearly a step behind AD (and LeBron) it might be different?

They were rolling when Cousins got traded

The Lakers had to try for Kawhi.

They have two guys as good as anyone. If Lebron breaks down then it didn't matter anyway

Kawhi has missed a season and 20 games or so this year

Seems like everyone is breaking down

Give the Lakers three point shooters and they have as good a shot as anyone

    Cousins is worthless.

The league went small to beat the Warriors making it ripe to exploit with Davis and Cousins down low. Lebron at the point and Kuzma on the wing.

Rondo runs the second unit and get three point shooters

I'll take it as a plan B. Size matters again

The Lakers grabbed a bunch of scrubs that are largely worthless ... the fact that Cousins couldn't get a deal above what he got with the Warriors last year tells you all you need to know about how he's viewed by the league

Kawhi is my negro. Biggest balls in the league. If anyone can overcome the Clippers gonna Clip it’s Kawhi.

Super fun move for the league.
