We definitely shouldn’t offer Carson Bruener, though. It’s not like his dad was a national champion or anything.

Nepotism is a great recruiting strategy.
Nepotism is a useful tool if the player you want is really good. See Huard, Sam. But if you don't want the player then you shouldn't force nepotism.

Meanwhile, Oregon definitely wanted Elijah Molden

Never believed he would go to UW but I thought we would at least make his top 12 sheesh

I thought Carson looked pretty decent

Sure, but we have two walk-ons who look just as good.
True that, maybe he takes a massive step his Sr year

Definitely didn’t think we’d sign him, but I pretty much assume we’ll make the top 10+ list for any West coast kid we are after. On the bright side you know we’ve made it when we’re embarrassed USC is on any recruit’s top whatever list and we’re not.

Offer him if hes the next best player. If he's not, then don't.

Nepotism is a great recruiting strategy.

Nepotism? Who cares where dad played. He was an All-American, a National Champion, a first round draft pick, and had a 14-year NFL career. Bloodlines matter. See, e.g., Molden, Elijah; Irvin, Julius.

Sure, but we have two walk-ons who look just as good.

Eye of the beholder, I guess. One thing's for sure: Linebackers suffer a lot of wear and tear. Gotta have depth.

Yeah! And considering we run our whole fucking defense through the middle.

And our previous MLB was an undersized, -5 star white dude who was coached and developed up into a massive tackling machine that may actually be drafted before round 5...

Imagine what flowe would do in this defense with our upgraded line ...

Flowe plus Savell with this line and secondary is a defense that can beat Bama/Clemson...

Clearly there's a reason we didn't target him. I highly doubt it has anything to do with Gregory. Relax. Get Bothelo, Herbig, and _________ and we good.

@TTJ, the bloodlines argument is kind of dumb. It has some merit, but there are also tons of guys who have had dad’s who played professionally that were not any good.

That’s not the case with Bruener. He’s a solid prospect, but the only reason we should offer him is if he’s the best we can do at his position.

    Oops.
Yeah, that certainly did not age well. Not even one day? Today we're going to find out Herbig is quitting football to join the French Foreign Legion.

Skipped SNL this weekend for Clemson.

    Oregon fans are sad.

You saw that dance number yesterday, so can you blame him?

Crystal balled to Clemson and they already have SIX 5-star guys committed. Granted, I don't think all of them are legit 5-stars that will be 1st round draft picks but still, that's insane. Clemson is the new Bama and I'm loving it. Fuck Saban and Bama. Dabo and Clemson are way more likable. I think Bama is in serious trouble when Tua leaves.
