Another example of a father that is too involved in his kids life

what does this guy do again (aside from Twitter)?WeakarmCobra said:Another example of a father that is too involved in his kids life

The butthurt is on another level with Gee. It’s at astronomical levels what he will do to take jabs at Petersen for not offering his kid.

Gee comes off like a complete douche but I am open to the idea that I do not in any way understand his perspective or where he came from. The guy went from washing Seahawks' cars to a career in local sports journalism. He has hustle and some kind of talent.
Yeah, he clearly has a bone to pick with CP and is overinvolved in Jr's career, so what? This isn't a fucking peewee team. Helicopter parents shouldn't scare us away from an elite talent. This is NCAA big boy football, CP should be able to handle Sr. without any effect on his program or its culture. In fact, having Sr. on your side promoting UW on twitter, etc. could actually be a good thing. If it isn't working out for Jr. he doesn't have to remain an unhappy member of the team in today's culture- he can just enter the portal.
It would be a different story if Jr. was uncoachable but ummmm he is lighting it up with FSP with no issues with teammates or coaches. He hasn't transferred high schools a single time. Never been suspended or benched. Apparently yelled at his coach- and that coach is now gone. Get over it.
Offer him. -
Agree with most of this except for Gee Sr. having some kind of talent, but he can hustle. I'll give him that, but he was clearly originally hired because of his connections with Seahawk players. Did you ever listen to him talk sports on 710? It was fuckin painful. There's a reason he's now on KIRO at 7:00 PM talking politics.FremontTroll said:Gee comes off like a complete douche but I am open to the idea that I do not in any way understand his perspective or where he came from. It’s not we are leading for or in a good spot for two superior prospects in Johnny and Jalen

Take all three and Hobert in the slot.backthepack said:It’s not we are leading for or in a good spot for two superior prospects in Johnny and Jalen
Level up.
-
Superior is questionable. Gee appears to me to at least to be in the same class.backthepack said:It’s not we are leading for or in a good spot for two superior prospects in Johnny and Jalen
"Leading for" and "in a good spot" are wishy-washy doogman bullshit.
What do you estimate as our actual chances of landing Johnny? Jalen? We have to go head to head with all the big boys on both.
Meanwhile we had this kid in our backyard that would have committed in a second. We fucked up. Lets try to save it. -
Best guess we get Jalen and not Jonny. But I think it's more likely we get both than neither. We are in a very good spot.FremontTroll said:

I’m more confident on Johnny than Jalen and I’m pretty damn confident on Jalen

With how much shit Sr. has spewed, why would anybody think that Gee Jr. is more likely to commit than than Wilson or McMillan? Seems that bridge is burned and it's time to get over it. Closer proximity to UW campus does not mean fewer barriers to overcome. For instance, he's already committed to aOSU.
-
I don't think he's more likely at this point. I think he would have been more likely had we offered him when we could/should have.1to392831weretaken said:With how much shit Sr. has spewed, why would anybody think that Gee Jr. is more likely to commit than than Wilson or McMillan? I feel bad for Jr given how his dad acts. It's like watching Lavar Ball try to be the general manager of the Lakers AND the commissioner of the NBA at the same time.

And I think we are all pretty much on the same page regarding Johnny and Jalen.
We might be in a "good place" but one is more likely than both.
I am a little more pessimistic- I think 0 is also more likely than both. -
Jr has enviable talent, definitely and has done really well on the teen bois circuit.
Is his attitude or baggage overblown or exaggerated? Yeah, probably. He actually appears has a nice blend of attitude and edge. Well, maybe for don James.
Does his current recent and reasonable personal behavior while with FSP or his presence on twitter cause any real concern? Not, not really. Not for me anyways.
Is Gee Sr and his Twitter voice a real concern with Peterman? Maybe. Actually I would say fuck yeah. Peterman don't like that shit at all.
Are there any more unknown details of Jr's previous indiscretions? Maybe.
Are we on real good croots that appear to have way less baggage? Hell yeah.
Is Gee Jr worth the risk given the known variables? Randy Jackson says that's a no for me, dawg.
Only if Gee Jr tells Peterman that he's moving in with Taylor Rapp's family and Gee Sr says he'll shut the fuck up forever will Peterman even think of offering a schollie.
Too many fish in the sea to be messing with headaches.
-
I think Junior is incredible and think Pete should offer and manage Senior best he can.
That said, I enjoy that Senior is so butt hurt about Pete and why he won’t offer and the disrespect is unreal. And at no point has he realized that all of that is because of they way he acts and the things he says.
It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point. You keep going off about how your son will never get an offer which is cementing it in stone.
But I think he loves to bitch more than he actually wants an offer. If he really wanted an offer from Oete, he would shut up and let his kid do his thing. -
I trust Petersen more than FremontTroll’s evaluation. Must be a good reason we aren’t offering him.
-
He was a car detailer who became friends with Marcus Trufant and was invited to be on his radio show. The guy has mooched his way to the top.Meek said:

There is a reason. Doesn't mean its a good one.LongDukDong said:I trust Petersen more than FremontTroll’s evaluation. Must be a good reason we aren’t offering him.

An offer would be a waste. I think the Scott’s laughing at it and rejecting it out of spite is more likely than anything else. The bridge has been nuked at this point.
If Junior was going to Wazzu or Oregon State maybe, but I think some of you are dooging just a little hard if you think JR is going to back out of his OSU commitment with a late UW offer. Especially when UW fans have gotten into it at times got into it with SR on twitter. He seems like a pretty stubborn guy. -
Yeah I see this as most likely as well. At this point Sr wants the offer so he can reject it.Edwin_Bambino said:An offer would be a waste. I think the Scott’s laughing at it and rejecting it out of spite is more likely than anything else. The bridge has been nuked at this point.

If he did get an offer from UW I could totally see his Dad tweet some lyrics of the great Rap artist Mike Jones, “Back then hoes didn’t want me, now I’m hot hoes all on me.”HillsboroDuck said:

That’s the definition of fake excitement
-
Offer him.
-
Well, when you cuss out your coaches and get suspended, that tends to happen, dipstick. Christ. -
Also, Tracy Ford is a smart businessman above all else. Gee helps him win 7-on-7 tourneys and generally helps get FSP free pub. That turns into $$$ later down the linejhfstyle24 said:

I can't say I feel sorry for Gee Sr. More feelings of sadness. Imagine your whole relevance in the world is based on your kid's accomplishments and leaching off professional athletes. That's about as debilitating to the male ego as anything I can imagine.
