Cite your own sources. 10% was good enough for Chainsaw Jack when he had GE rocking.

I see absolutely no problems with incenting the best and brightest to professions with the most need. If you don’t like the residual income concept, come up with some other compelling method to motivate young professionals for choose career path A vs Career Path B. Money is usually a pretty good carrot.

Money is a great motivator. And the fact that the best predictor of where kids end up on the economic ladder is where they’re born on the economic ladder should help you understand why the idea is not a good one.

And we have a state worshiper in our midst who can’t think outside the constructs of control and coersion. A perfect example of indoctrination by loser, lazy and worthless teachers. Most are self important pieces of shit who took the easiest degree path available with the promise of a part time job. Then they claim hero status and HHusky eats it up. Like a good little statist.

So Mikey, how does your conception of society enforce any of its requirements?

As for teachers, most would be quite surprised to learn that they have a “part time” job. Your respect for them is exactly what Donny was expressing, and I do give you more credit for your honesty than some of your colleagues here.

I don’t respect most teachers. You’re buying the propaganda that they are heroic hard working under appreciated servants. Most were average and below average students. Most majored in education because it’s less rigorous. Teachers tell me they don’t get paid time off because they get paid only for 180 days. So they either are dishonest or have a part time job. I say they are dishonest. They don’t have to compete, schools don’t have to compete. Any that actually have passion get the life sucked out of them by shitty administrators and even shittier parents. Which leads to mediocrity and doing the minimum. Which is what most teachers do. I have immeadite family members who are teachers or work in the school. I tell them this to their FACE.

I have no “colleagues” here. Just another example of you not being able to think critically and put people in neat little boxes.

Yes, I’m that intelligent family member that says the emperor had no clothes and calls out their mediocrity and bullshit. While everyone else says that tecahers have the most important job and should make more than an NBA player and they all just nod in agreement in some absurd virtue signaling circle jerk. Fucking losers.

An honest assessment of teachers would recognize that most of them are pretty damn dedicated and that they work plenty hard. Many are very good and a few are excellent. The amount of dead weight in the profession probably is not markedly different than the amount of dead weight in other organizations. The so called “indoctrination” is an overblown, right wing fever dream. And no, Mike, no one is saying teachers should become rich from teaching.

And teachers, like other humans, sometimes think they have it much worse than they really do. But one thing they’re clearly not imagining, and that’s been made plain today, is the disrespect and contempt many of the so called “conservatives” of this country have for them.

I have 3 kids in public schools and the indoctrination is real. There is a left wing agenda and it is pushed vigorously by the teachers and it started in Elementary school. From English teachers who feel the need to share their opinions on gay marriage to history teachers who feel compelled to inform the class about how immoral Republicans are. I'm sure it's not as bad everywhere as it is here in the Bay Area but it's real and as usual O'Keefed you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

It was bad before but the election of Trump has made it even worse.

The 2nd Amendment “walkout” that was condoned, encouraged and participated in by many teachers, including math teachers, is a good example of leftist indoctrination.

I really don't care about their politics and I always figured it came with the territory living where I live. I talk enough with my kids they know enough to be able to separate opinions from facts.

I sent my kids to private school. They got a good education. Very few problem students. Petty good teachers. I was adding up the total tuition for a class at my kids school and it was far less than what was spent on an average Kali public school class. The state spent 3 times the money and didn't even have sports programs. Triple the money for poorer outcomes in terms of education and grades.

Public schools costs have skyrocketed do to vast increases in "middle management". Large numbers of teachers working as supervisors instead of teaching. Last I saw it was one supervisor for every 3 teachers. It used to be a principal and a vice principal at an average grade school.

Keeping them in my thoughts. Wouldn’t wish having to put up with a miserable asshole like you on anyone.

Guys... Guys. I think a lot of you have lost some perspective on just what it takes to be a good teacher in today’s environment.
