Since they were U.S, government classes I'll tell you how much I learned about our government. Not a damn thing. It was all about the wonders of communism and socialism and some other ism's. As for teachers, most would be quite surprised to learn that they have a “part time” job. Your respect for them is exactly what Donny was expressing, and I do give you more credit for your honesty than some of your colleagues here.

I don’t respect most teachers. You’re buying the propaganda that they are heroic hard working under appreciated servants. Most were average and below average students. Most majored in education because it’s less rigorous. Teachers tell me they don’t get paid time off because they get paid only for 180 days. So they either are dishonest or have a part time job. I say they are dishonest. They don’t have to compete, schools don’t have to compete. Any that actually have passion get the life sucked out of them by shitty administrators and even shittier parents. Which leads to mediocrity and doing the minimum. Which is what most teachers do. I have immeadite family members who are teachers or work in the school. I tell them this to their FACE.

I have no “colleagues” here. Just another example of you not being able to think critically and put people in neat little boxes.

So Mikey, you home-school your kids?

Seems like the only option for someone that hates teachers and schools.
