    I really don't care about their politics and I always figured it came with the territory living where I live. I talk enough with my kids they know enough to be able to separate opinions from facts.

    I sent my kids to private school. They got a good education. Very few problem students. Petty good teachers. I was adding up the total tuition for a class at my kids school and it was far less than what was spent on an average Kali public school class. The state spent 3 times the money and didn't even have sports programs. Triple the money for poorer outcomes in terms of education and grades.

    Public schools costs have skyrocketed do to vast increases in "middle management". Large numbers of teachers working as supervisors instead of teaching. Last I saw it was one supervisor for every 3 teachers. It used to be a principal and a vice principal at an average grade school.

    Both The Throbbers parents were teachers. Good highly respected teachers. Have had literally hundreds of people compliment on the impact they had in their lives.

    It’s been very clearly stated. Virtually impossible to fire shitty teachers due to the unions. And it’s not like the good teachers don’t know which shitty teachers are out there. They just live with their incompetent colleagues.

    In fairness, most school administrators are fuckwads of similar stature on the other side of the coin.

    It’s actually really sad.




    In sending three kids through Seattle Public Schools I saw a wide range of teaching abilities, but a grand total of three teachers who absolutely needed to leave the profession. The three all left the profession. Two were fired; one took the hint.
    Those who teach the special needs kids should be commended.

    What about those who date special needs adults, like CLS?
