How do you define a successful season for Eason?

What are your expectations for Eason this year? Are you looking for certain passer stats or offensive stats? Are you going to measure success by wins and losses? And if so, what threshold constitutes a successful season for our new QB?

Stats are for loosers. Win or GTFO.
-
Wins and losses. Stats (individual) are for losers like Conner Halliday.
As long as Eason uses his big brass balls to win close games & not blow leads, that's all that matters IMHO. -
Strong signal calling, and moral support as Haener leads us to a Natty.

Fuck you and your 53 seconds, @BennyBeaver.

If the team wins I will give him credit for being a great quarterback because I'm a doog regardless of his actual performance.
He will be successful if he fulfills his role in the offense, whatever that is. This includes not turning the ball over frequently and constantly losing yards because he wilts under pressure. If he game manages us to victories, great. If he is the star who throws incredible balls that win games for us that is great too. He just had better not make us worse and cost us games. -
Make the playoffs with this charmin soft schedule.

Anything less than undefeated and a NY6 victory is failure.

With our defense, we are going to be close in every game (at a minimum, of course blow some teams out). Browning never could grind out a win in a game that was a hard fought game. When the offensive line wasn't the best and/or the ground game never got going.
A successful season for Eason is for him to win those grind it out games. If not then he goes on the same shit pile as Browning.
I don't expect his stats to be great honestly. He couldn't throw over 60% at Georgia, I'm not expecting that here. Which is fine if he makes those 3 or 4 throw a game that he has to for the W. -
I think throwing darts and frozen ropes in the red zone will have a more positive impact on our wins and loss total than scrambling backwards to get out of field goal range will.

Sounds like you like browningBennyBeaver said:Stats are for loosers. Win or GTFO.

This the exact reason Bush had to get cute from the 10 yard line out in the redzone or on obvious passing situations.Meek said:I think throwing darts and frozen ropes in the red zone will have a more positive impact on our wins and loss total than scrambling backwards to get out of field goal range will.

I expect Drew Bledsoe to be his floor...except in the win column.
Max of one regular season loss and a top 5 finish in 2019. Or diaff. -
Stays healthy all season. NY6 bowl win.
Minimum. -
-
I want 30+ TD's... less than 10 picks and chunks in the passing game down the damn field. That's HIS goal. The team's goal should be NY6 at a minimum. Our schedule is easy as shit next year.

Just win and don’t fuck up in every clutch situation. Eason will piss us off next year. I’m just hoping he’s not a loser.
-
Doesn't really matter what Eason does if he isnt worse then Browning, as long as Chico is back.
-
I’m actually excited for Chico to return. I remember him chopping on Stanford in the “We’re back” game in 2016.Bread said:Doesn't really matter what Eason does if he isnt worse then Browning, as long as Chico is back.

Agreed. He will piss off people that loved Jake because they thought Jake didn’t make mistakes (he did, he made lots and lots of mistakes) and they want to pick apart any issue a ubertalented QB has.RoadDawg55 said:Just win and don’t fuck up in every clutch situation. But fuck those people, he will piss off us as well, but the difference will be opposing teams cannot play 8+ in the box EVERY FREAKING SNAP like they did last year. And they will know they have to cover guys that are 35 yards or more down the field. And he will try to force the ball into windows and I don’t know how I am going to handle that after watching Jake and Cyler for the whole Pete era.
Him just being under center next year will improve our offense and open up more options. -
15-0 or gtfo
-
just needs to improve over what Jake gave us - so if Jake can run backwards for 35 yards and evade getting sacked by Stanford I would say Heisman

Eason needs to produce right out of the gate.
So expecting some hot instagram photos all summer long.
If he can't get it done, Haener needs to go Lockner and post some mom pics.

Eason will throw some INTs but he'll be fine. Do people forget he started as a true frosh at Georgia and showed off some big-time talent?

Could he have a lower bar to overcome? Just dont handicap the offence with throwing the ball into cbs hands on throw aways and then be able to throw further than 10 yards down the field. I have seriously low expectations of someone ive never seen play in husky Stadium but I still can't see it be worse than jake

Rose Bowl and conference champs

Win a NY6.

He threw 8 INTs in the SEC as a true freshman ... so something in the 8-10 range or less at UW is definitely reasonable.
The reality is that the defense will take a step back next year incorporating a lot of youth and it wouldn't shock me if the D gave up in the neighborhood of 20-24 points per game next year (particularly in the 1st half of the season). We gave up on average 18 a game on D last year in P5 games and scored 24 in those games.
I think the goal for Eason would be to get the offense up into the 31-34 point per game range ... that will take a lot of pressure off of the defense early in the year. -
you must have not looked at the schedule defense will still average under 20 given up, bunch a cupcakes in my opinionTequilla said:He threw 8 INTs in the SEC as a true freshman ... so something in the 8-10 range or less at UW is definitely reasonable.

No pics but Eason has been producing like crazy this year from what I hearPurpleThrobber said:Eason needs to produce right out of the gate.
