That win over the U in 1991 was epic.WoolleyDoog said:
Winners win dude. You had your chances. You got an Auburn team that was a mental case Cam, Nick Fairley and a bunch of ass run over twice. Should have blown that team out of the water or won like 56-35.46XiJCAB said:Just a comparison because any talk of Oregon-Washington football always comes back to the 1/2 natty awarded by the coaches poll and those early 90's UW teams.
UW 1990-92: 31-5 overall. 21-3 Pac-8. 2-1 Bowls. Coaches poll champs 1991. Final ranking CP 90-92: 5, 1, 10.
UO 2010-12: 36-4 overall. 25-2 Pac-10/12. 2-1 Bowls. Nat. Championship 3pt. loss. Final ranking CP 10-12: 3, 4, 2.
2012 was kinda scary but lost to the only good team they played, at home, with freshman Kevin Hogan at QB.
Fair point that 92 Dawgs fell apart. Will always be curious what happens if Hobes doesn't get busted for Ruby Ridge loan.
Oh wait. -
Washington beat Miami, 34-29, in 2000 at Husky Stadiim.
In 2001, Washington paid a visit to the Orange Bowl. Miami rolled ‘em, 65-7.
Fuck off, Fetters. -
The Auburn team was a “mental case”?WoolleyDoog said:

8-0 in SEC; 12-0 season.
Beat the crap out of South Carolina in SEC Championship game, 56-17.
JC transfers Nick Fairly and Cam Newton were dominating all season.
OC Gus Malzahn ran the show. After he left to be HC at Arkansas State, Chizek’s days were numbered.

Winners win.
Oregon did a good job against Newton but Fairley was dominant in that NCG.
And while I think there were a handful of plays that were really important for tOSU in the late 3rd Q of the 2014 NCG, I don’t think Carrington was going to be the difference there. We dropped some important balls and couldn’t stop Elliott when it mattered. -
Bama couldn't stop Elliott
A truly great back -
That is a good review of the Buck game. Oregon came out solid and missed some critical opportunities to go up by two scores. But that Buck running game was super big boy and would have eventually taken over the game anyway. Had Oregon had a comparable running game, then with Mariota I think you have a real game, but my aunts still no balls.thechatch said:Winners win.

Auburn, a game a barely remember, was different. Newton was other level at QB. A lot of great players are mental cases. -

Steve Emtman never took anabolic steroids. He said so. He went from being a nothing special recruit to being the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft.DerekJohnson said:

Becoming a “workout warrior” in the weightroom during his redshirt freshman at UW added 20-30 pounds of muscle to his body.
Roid rage much?
Was he ever tested?
No.
What was up with volunteer physicians that lurked around the athletic department from the mid-80’s through the 90’s?
