Scottish Open this week with nothing in the US and the Open Championship the following week.
How LIV started
The tours suck and we're glad to get paid and not have to play all those tournaments and this is the future of golf!!!
How its going for LIV players
We're suing the tour to let us play

I’ll take Hideki. Good chipper, great distance control.
Spieth is officially on notice this week. Should be a perfect course for him, but it won’t be. -
-
I'll take Morikawa again
Rory is my second choice
Agree on Spieth. This is set for him
Maybe throw 10k at Tiger @80 to 1
-
I’ll take the over on the winning score. Hearing it’s quite fiery out there and balls just aren’t stopping on the fairways. Lots of hidden trouble in those fairways. Will be a birdie fest with more than the normal amount of doubles thrown in.
-
Faldo shot 270 in 1990
Tiger shot 269 in 2000
The fairways are like greens this year. Length is meaningless
Short game is everything -

He's right you know
Rory 6 under
Tiger 2 over thru 2 -
Rory usually has the Friday/Saturday lull and then rallies on the back nine on Sunday to never actually be in contention but bank that top five.RaceBannon said:

In 1953 Ben Hogan entered 5 tournaments and won three - The Masters, The US Open and the Open Championship. Few years after getting hit by a bus
Tiger is 6 over thru 7. So far the Hogan approach isn't working for him. -
The Catalay love on the odds is beyond weird to me. He actually kind of stinks. Reigning FedEx cup winner and PGA tour player of the year I guess. People forget that one of his wins was Rahm’s Covid memorial, and with those Memorial points and exact stroke finish at Tour Championship, Rahm would have won the FedEx cup and PGA Tour player of the year.
-
Bryson and Durwood Johnson repping the LIV at 3 under
I don't actively dislike many players including those two but Cameron Smith is one I root against
No real reason. -
I’ve always loved Louis, mostly just because of his swing. Sad that he went LIV, but we never saw him until the majors anyways. Love Hideki’s swing too, hoping he doesn’t go, rumors of like $400m being offered to him.
Two guys that have tempo to burn, which is kind of the opposite of my swing. -
Hopefully Rory shows up again and we get Rory v DJ over the weekend
-

I shot Cantalay up, you shot Cam Smith up.
-
Shooting 70 today was a slight choke job. Just saying.
-
68 to tie 67 to win. Not impossible at all when guys are carving it up.
-
He thought he was playing match play with Hovland for far too long. Props to Cam for taking it, but Rory really fucked up 10, 12 and 14 with pars.
-
The penultimate group was the ultimate this weekend
Rory and Hovland were 12 under Saturday
The Cams were 15 under Sunday
-
He's been turned into a non person by NBC and the Golf Channel already. Don't blame him.
Completely on brand
LIV has the two biggest gamblers now
And Trump never forgets
Bedminster hosting LIV not the PGA championship
Using 9 11 families is low rent but this is a blood fued
-
OK this is a current and young star but I won't miss him. He had a beef with Patrick Reed but now they are on the same side
-
The traditionalists are really taking this whole LIV thing hard. My golf buddies are all losing their minds.
-
Let the market work it out
Saudis are at 650 million for a handful of players
Doesn't seem sustainable
LIPO -
Free money. $100mil just to show up, play a light schedule with an easy tourney format, and get paid whether you play well or not.RaceBannon said:OK this is a current and young star but I won't miss him. He had a beef with Patrick Reed but now they are on the same side
I dont blame anyone for taking it. Just don't be fags about it. -
I like the PGA Tour in this one
I wondered if some of the money being thrown around is real -
By the way no restraining order
The trial goes on
LIV won't let a player play opposite a LIV event -
I saw someone (Freddie, or JT maybe) commenting about "growing the game", and calling bullshit...paraphrasing, "Just say it's about the money, because that's what it's about".chuck said:

True competitors don't play "for the money" (I know, the money is NICE), they play to be the best, and to do that you have to compete against the best, and fucking grind it, every week.
The greatest golf-watching memories / moments I have were majors and Ryder / President's Cup. When "the Field" gets appearance money (LARGE), it lets the air out of the pressure-balloon, for me, and for them, I'm sure. From what I've seen, they party like rock stars on the plane, even the guys that finished +10...Why grind when you cash every week?
John Daly can't get into LIV (he begged Norman), but he will be treated as "royalty" in GB as long as he lives because he won The Open, 30-whatever years ago. IMO, history will judge them harshly, if at all.

If nothing else, this should get the Tour to get its shit together. I'm guessing they won't though. Playoffs should be for top 8 or 16 and do matchplay from there. And for gods sake can we get a playoff event at a real course for us architecture snobs? Eastlake and TPC Southwind fucking suck. Willing to LIPO out Biden's Wilmington Country Club, but I bet it sucks too.Fishpo31 said:
