7 wins next year will surprise me. The only game with more thank 50k in actual attendance will be MSU.

There is zero enthusiasm for this team right now.

Spring drill day is gonna be lit, no doubt. May even let them eat afterwards.

Those that choose to will have to run bleachers at 6 am though.

We have a ceiling of 8/9 wins majority of years, and get to 10 only if the stars align, and those numbers are only attainable b/c we get 2 cupcakes at home, play in the Pac-12, and even more fortunately play in the Pac-12 North with games against Cal, WSU, Tree, and Beavs.

That is both so fortuitous and pathetic at the same time

We won 12 with Sark's players and a burned out coach that didn't know offense if it kicked him in the ass.

We didn't offense the next 2 years and won 10 games each.

Corners had to score for us in 2018.

Washington has been very good/great twice last 50 years and coincidentally they were both with HOF Coaches.

With our current NIL and Montlake Futures stance, what Coach comes here who isn't just going to look at it a stepping stone job if they truly are looking to compete at the highest level?

Same question for top end recruits in and out of state along with transfer portal guys in regards to getting paid?

What Doogs are banking on is KB is a offensive mastermind, who has a scheme like Chip Kelly's blue/read zone that CFB hadn't seen and took years for everyone else to catch up with.

Except unlike Chip Kelly, there’s years of rape on KD’s offenses at other schools. And we will never have a Will Lyles. Even more true in NIL era.

    Shaking and about to vomit.

Also, why does your phone put rape above tape?

Until the AD gets completely binned…hard to see the trajectory changing

    This.

Jen wanted to keep Lake after his rained blows upon poor Ruperake, despite the fact that everyone knew he was the worst coach in the Pac-12. That's just inexcusable to want to keep such an incompetent coach around.

She doesn't have the awareness, vision, or leadership to support an FBS program.
She should be fired but they knew they needed a good/great season this year and Lake was already in the division cellar and local recruits knew he was an asshole.

The ruperake thing was the excuse they needed to try and just get it done now instead of spending the offseason mulling over school politics, being late to the hiring process, etc.
A couple of areas where I feel you miss

There is journalistic evidence out there that shows that Jen wanted to retain Jimmy even after the suspension (opinion shared by both the AD and President) … Jimmy only has Jimmy to blame for not being at UW still

Jen’s left Hopkins in dead man walking territory to the point that it’s pretty much assured at this point that Hop will coach out his contract and not be renewed … that is honestly staggering mismanagement by an AD if your driving light is being focused on program success … the actions of Jen are completely consistent with someone that who prioritizes penny pinching and bottom lines

Jen’s own comments in the last week on NIL are staggeringly bad, have a high likelihood of being a flawed approach, and are comments that can torpedo them efforts of her existing coaches faster than their own lack of recruiting chips are showing

In my opinion you’re massively underestimating how much a culture shift and reset is needed on Montlake … Jen isn’t the complete cause but she’s the easiest person to point to that would be readily replaceable
    Fuck your feelings

1: There is journalistic evidence that AMC and JC needed him to make major changes to his program and only then could he possibly be retained. He refused to do that. That's not the same thing as "they wanted to keep him and only didn't because of the optics of shoving a player."

2: I've never defended Jen nor her hire and retaining of Hopkins.

3: I've already said her comments are incredible bad publicity, and she should have been fired after making 2 god awful hires within a year and a half of each other.

4: Literally no one on this site is in her corner nor the AD's. That's including most of the Twitter doogs. So again you're patting yourself on the back for making a WIW comment that you think is really deep and complex. UW has been fucked because they hire bad coaches. What coach at UW has ever succeeded elsewhere? They got somewhat lucky with Petersen and they can still have nailed this hire. Wanting to clean house and thinking Db was a lucky 3rd/4th choice can both exist.
Jen had no intention of canning Lake until the Ruperake incident. Even then it took pressure to make her follow through.
Are you implying that Jimmy was hitting it?!

Exactly, and 10 years of tape on Air Raid Offenses in general.

The most important part of a schools talent acquisition process is now the NIL.
