Yeah, the method does place too much emphasis on star ranking out of high school (or penalizes one for not having a high star ranking out of high school).

I guess you can give Max a nod for trying, but this article was all over the map and really didn't do a very good job of quantifying winners and losers. A lot of "yeah but" and "what if" and "could have also" kind of language that just confuses the matter.
