I would be upset if he was actually a kid that was going to move the needle. He’s nothing special.WoolleyDoog said:The real topic here is if UW really wants this kid and he's going to go to Utah instead that's a horrible sign.
We need a difference maker at QB. Not another guy like the two (Doog hope for Penix) we have now. -
I just cant imagine that if this staff wanted and believed in a local QB recruit that wasn’t a national five star kid they would get him. Show him some love, show him your history and seal the deal. They don’t want him.WoolleyDoog said:The real topic here is if UW really wants this kid and he's going to go to Utah instead that's a horrible sign.

The PAC12 is so far behind on a national level … it’s really a different game at this pointRoadDawg55 said:
PAC 12 titles are still possible. Evaluate, coach, and develop better than Oregon and USC.Tequilla said:

I’m a little harsh about it, but even talking about the 91 team is lame. It was over 30 years ago.Tequilla said:

It's like me reading about George Wilson in the 26 Rose Bowl when I was a kid in the 60's. And DobieWoolleyDoog said:Time to ditch the old timey stuff other than for fans and even tone that down. I have no in-person memories of the Don James years and I'm old so I can't even imagine how a 17-year-old contexts it.
But it needs to be in context of what is possible here … but it’s a delicate line to walk
Start there. Competing with Bama and programs like that is a huge stretch at this point.
Conference titles are nice … but in the grand scheme of things they’ve been devalued for better or worse -
The question is, if they don't get Rashada, what is their plan?theknowledge said:

Transfer portal?
-
That's what I thought too though I imagine they'd really prefer a HS QB to develop. Maybe the plan is to go for both, especially if they think one of the other QBs will portal.bluechipuwrecruits said:Transfer portal?

You can’t realistically run with the Loyal to the Soil mantra when you can’t keep the top end talent in your state to stay homeHFNY said:

Who is this staff’s Joe Steele, Budda Baker, etc of keeping top talent home? -
Oregon's #1 guy at qb just committed to Tennessee (reportedly for an $8 million NIL deal).
My guess is they make a pretty damn big offer to Rashada now that we can't match.
I dont know if Gabarri is the guy, but DeBoner should probably start focusing on our best realistic option at QB -
Utah got a commit from a QB not named Gabarri Johnson. It will be interesting to see which school takes interest in him next
-
It would be nice if UW is now in the driver's seat. We? need a QB and I imagine he'd like a clean shot at starting after redshirting.bananasnblondes said:Utah got a commit from a QB not named Gabarri Johnson. It will be interesting to see which school takes interest in him next

When your NIL strategy openly says that you’re not interested in paying recruits because 1) they haven’t done anything yet and 2) you’re worried about locker room dynamics …
The only HS recruits you’re going to get are those who view UW as their best option and by default can’t do better … UW will never be a first choice with the current strategy and approach -
Per Huffman, he was the #1 QB on UWs list but was swayed by his desire to play for Bush Hamdan (not a joke)

The apologists are out today -
Unless YOU have proof in HAND...it’s speculation for YOU. ‘Those who know’....meaning YOU are not a ‘THOSE’. I didn’t create the English language but ‘speculation’ is pretty cut and dry. Unless you are an eye witness, YOU are speculating. Word of mouth is not proof.Tequilla said:

Are you saying that you do actually know what you're talking about? Not buying it. I need more evidence.Tequilla said:

Saying that losing an in-state 4 star QB when your HC strength is selling his offense to MISSOURI isn’t a good thing
I don’t really care the reason …
Player didn’t want to be here (BS given visits and stated top target; sell better)
Have targets that you like better so WDWHA (how many QBs have been offered)
Ultimately it comes down to who you sign … so if the class comes down to signing a 2 star from South Dakota … the apologists can full blown FUCK OFF -
Meh. I'm gonna assume there's more to this story. I'll be on flip watch if we still want him, especially with a successful season.Tequilla said:

I’d assume that’s why some are sitting there saying there’s more to the story
It’s just odd how UW is approaching anything tied to recruiting … if he’s really the top QB on board you do what you need to lock him up versus a collective stringing along -
-
I’ve never thought Johnson was very good. Yeah, I get why it’s concerning, but he’s not a QB that will move the needle.

we have a new addendum to the copypasta
