Looks like it's the two 0 star DL twins from Michigan. Line them up alongside Finau and we could have the all 0 star DL starting in a few years.

You should be glad we aren't losing recruiting battles with Illinois anymore. This is the turning point for UW under DeBoer!insinceredawg said:Looks like it's the two 0 star DL twins from Michigan. Line them up alongside Finau and we could have the all 0 star DL starting in a few years.

From Ektard
"Neither players was much on the radar of many schools with one (Armon) holding an offer from Illinois while the other (Jayvon) had one from Grand Valley State and heavy interest from Michigan State."
What he conveniently left out was that the "heavy interest" from Michigan State is as a PWO.
I won't pretend to know how to watch film but I'm curious what the coaches saw in these guys versus Andrew Savaiianea who we didn't offer and committed to Florida. -

The bar is about to close
Have no idea in reality but still -
I have no idea the recruiting strategy from Doboer right now.

I mean its not very exciting, but we also have 6 more scholarships to fill and we will probably have a few more people transfer in the spring. So I don't mind if they want to try finding a few diamonds in the rough with the 22 class. If we took these guys in 23 I would be concerned. Plus I'm going to laugh when they get rated hire then sir smells.
-
I'd rather they give those remaining scholarships to transfers instead of these risky unrated HS players with full eligibility. That's how you get stuck with dead weight who linger on the roster like Myles Rice and Kyler Manu.ROOFDOOGINS said:I mean its not very exciting, but we also have 6 more scholarships to fill and we will probably have a few more people transfer in the spring. Yeah but if you combine them then you have one halfway decent looking prospect.insinceredawg said:Looks like it's the two 0 star DL twins from Michigan. Line them up alongside Finau and we could have the all 0 star DL starting in a few years.

Elite midwestern farm strong Diversity.

None of us know anything about this staffs ability to find hidden talent or how they develop talent. Plenty of guys from those early Pete classes that were very Meh upon signing ended up major contributors to three straight NY6 games. You can’t really hate it until you are forced to hate it in a few years after they play like shit.

I don't disagree with you. However, the D-Lineman pickings are slim. In the portal and high school. I don't have high expectations for this class with the time left, but if we close on Loane and Dunn then I would feel good going into next years class.insinceredawg said:

These guys are fine.
The one with the walk-on offer from Michigan State is Sir Mells level. They're both big and athletic for their size but I think this guys runs a little better than Mells. More fluid and quicker twitch. Looks to be a better fit in a 3-4 scheme which we aren't running anymore.
The guy with the offer from Illinois is definitely a step above his brother. Much quicker with better interior pass rush moves and looks to have more of a "motor." He'll be a good fit in our 4-2-5 where we want our interior defensive lineman to get upfield as opposed to just eating space.
In a normal year I would think that these guys are fringe offers and probably no-takes if we're actually closing on our top targets. They both have good physical traits and will develop into rotational guys if our new D Line coach is worth a shit.

Just take any that wants to play football

Rip is no longer our DL coach. This staff had to develop to put the quality of team together that ran out at Fresno St. These guys will go into the grinder and come out in 3 years as productive rotational players. They will challenge to start as Jr's and kick ass as seniors. My 8 ball says this is so.
