Stars don't have a lot of guys with experience and it cost them tonight by getting down 4-0 before scoring 3 unanswered ... wouldn't surprise me if they win in 7.
Sharks aren't winning in 6 since that means winning the series in LA ... if they win the series they'll win in 7.
Biggest problem they have in the series is that they are at a decided disadvantage in the net ... which is a huge issue if they end up getting to Game 7 because in a one game situation, it often comes down to which goalie is better.
The best chance that the Sharks have of winning the series is to dominate the series from a skating standpoint ... but the teams are relatively even from a skating standpoint and the Kings defense will always make sure that they don't let Thornton, Marleau, and Pavelski get on a roll.
As for the Winterhawks, Kelowna is Jamie Benn tuff.

Sharks have won a series against the Kings in a game 6 in LA. Thornton scored in OT and sled across the crown at center ice.

Just about every single goal I saw last night from the Sharks was an odd man situation where Quick got left out to dry ...
My expectation would be that if the Kings provide any kind of defense in front of him tomorrow, Quick will show up with a win ... much like the Stars did tonight in cleaning up in front of Lehtonen.
No doubt that he COULD play a little better ... but given what is going on in front of him, you are still looking at 3-4 goals which is too much as it is.
One thing I've learned over the years is that while goalies can steal a game here and there ... ultimately, they are as good as the guys in front of them.
water is wet, and the sharks are for real. For all the talk a couple years ago about how their cupboard was bare and their window had closed, their young homegrown guys have been awesome and the older vets are playing like this is their year.

I have no problem admitting that I missed on the San Jose series. The Kings have owned them for the last few years.
I'm not sure at this point that I would change any of my other picks. Going down 0-2 put both the Blackhawks and Stars in a tough spot, but wins tonight to even the series would lead me to sticking with both picks.

I'm going to end up going 4-4 in the East.
