I trust the staff to get the most out of a guy but he feels like at best just a slightly better Giles Jackson.DawgDaze71 said:Silas Bolden offer means to me that McMillan and Polk are heading to the league.

If they add Bolden UW goes from a top 4 corps of WR that stood 6’3”, 6’2”, 6’1”, 6’1” to 6’1”, 6’1” 5’9”, 5’8”. I don’t like it.
I know Williams is 6’1” and Boston is 6’4” but they haven’t shown shit yet and Reynolds is maaaybe 5’10”. -

WR length may not be too bad. Two 5'9 guys (Jackson, Reynolds). Two 6'1 guys (Williams, Bernard) 6'4 (Boston)
Incoming:
5'10 -Jason Robinson
6'2 - Jeremiah Hunter
6'4 - Justice Williams
With the smaller guys I want to see quickness.

I'll always take length if it's an option and I don't want a bunch of sub six foot WRs I just really think it's more about strength and power though and the ability to get off the line, box guys out when needed, and win 50/50 balls. A guy like the best and prototypical NFL WRs now are 6'0 but 205 and strong. Seems like the 6'4 WRs faded after Reggie and Mike Williams and these days those guys might get pushed to TE.
-
I saw something on Twitter by someone claiming to have a solid idea of starters next year and neither McMillan nor Polk were listed. This was in response to Don't Call Bud Elliott posting his 2024 Top 25.DawgDaze71 said:Silas Bolden offer means to me that McMillan and Polk are heading to the league.

Sounds like NFL coaching/gm crystallisation.WoolleyDoog said:I'll always take length if it's an option and I don't want a bunch of sub six foot WRs I just really think it's more about strength and power though and the ability to get off the line, box guys out when needed, and win 50/50 balls. Wr 6'2"/6'3" with strength and speed.
You can be shorter but have to make it up with extra speed and crisper routes
You can be bigger but then you become a unicorn like Metcalf
By 6'4" you're entering tight end territory -
The eight schools who made the cut for Lee include Arizona, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, Penn State, USC and Washington.dirtysouwfdawg said:Want this kid!! Not sure if it’s his top 25 announcement or what. Track guy as well and seems to like us a little.

Arizona and Washington lead for Lee per Biggins. He should be a husky.

I forget if I heard he we as gator of fsu lean earlier so this is encouraging. Would love to see him commit.

He doesn't have to go to Florida to get some shine. So long as DeBoer is at the helm, Washington should be a thing in the Big 10. Plus with the relative youth in the LB corps there's room to see the field early if his talent allows.dirtysouwfdawg said:I forget if I heard he we as gator of fsu lean earlier so this is encouraging. That's big time

And Nansen running from Arizona’s staff to Texas probably a blow for them even if he was fairly split on those two.backthepack said:Arizona and Washington lead for Lee per Biggins. He should be a husky.

Hopefully a sign of things to come. With Oregon handing out bags of cash to high schoolers, I don't see DeBoer being able to pull the NW recruiting coup that Peterman had following the run in 2016 but this is a step in the right direction of being competitive

How many Northwest guys in 2025 are legit DD3s that we would want despite the assumably larger pool of talent available to us now?bananasnblondes said:Hopefully a sign of things to come. Visiting us, GA, oklahomo, and texASS in the next few weeks. Not sure if those are his focuses as the article wasn’t free. This is the talent we? want and need.

Another top dude with us towards the top of his list and a junior day visit planned. Not as many heavy hitters after him… yet. Might be too white but what do I know.

Looks like he brings his lunch box with him everyday, film junkie, gym rat type you’d want to marry your daughter. Probably a coach on the field to boot.dirtysouwfdawg said:Another top dude with us towards the top of his list and a junior day visit planned. Not as many heavy hitters after him… yet. Seems like the level of guys being considered this round is a shade higher than it has been in the previous DeBoer classes?
-
Morgan building that roster with more than just 2-deeps. Next years recruiting class better be top 15/top 10. I’m parroting again but someone mentioned deboner seeing the differences between his guys and UM and putting it on his list. I believe he’ll fix it until he proves me otherwise. Weird feeling…WoolleyDoog said:Seems like the level of guys being considered this round is a shade higher than it has been in the previous DeBoer classes?
