One of the many quaint beliefs the Left has about the US is that it's a relatively low-tax country

You're wrong. And your answer to examples of high taxes in the US were to say they're bullshit, and then next to just say 'Well, move then'.
This began with a bunch of hysteria over how high your taxes are and continues with hypotheticals about how much someone could conceivably pay. Damone is the exception, but he either can’t do math or is lying his ass off.

No. It began with a tweet that triggered you.
Feel free to read it again if you like. All you've done with us is call us gals and then mock us. Note that I haven't done the same to you. There is no dispute that the US isn't a low tax country. Plenty of examples for that. And there isn't a dispute that the fucked up system of local and federal governments misuse the funds they get and just keep asking for more. How many millions of dollars are wasted by Seattle, San Francsisco and other cities on 'the homeless' and yet we just keep hearing how more taxes will fix it. Damone's not lying.
A tweet about SF and NY. The only two places anyone can live in the United States.
So you're not disputing anything. And you want everyone in those states to move.
People who voluntarily pay higher taxes must not think taxes are so high that they should leave.
Why are so many leaving then? Evidently shitty attorney aren't fleeing but most everyone else is. We're taking up a collection for occupation checks at our border.
If there are "so many leaving", seems like California will have to consider policy changes. I'm all for people voting with their feet. LIPO
Sort of like Detroit. In 1960 Detroit was the wealthiest US city with more millionaires that New York City. Then it wasn't. Seems like a weird thing to root for but then that's why your the dazzler.
California is a state, not a city, I'm told.

It has seen one year of net population decline, last year during Covid, since 1850.

Those moving to California now are wealthier and better educated than those who are leaving according to surveys.

I know three couples who have moved or are moving to California. All wealthy.

I could very easily ask you the same thing.

The floor is yours if you have contrary information, but I guess I'm a more interesting topic. I agree with you there, btw.

So the Dazzler is admitting that his "wealthy friends" want to live in a "have and have nots" State where they are a part of the privileged class. Sounds like your typical leftist elitists.

San Fransicko spends $100,000 per year on a single homeless person. They get their drugs, meals and food delivered to their tents. And they also get their toilets cleaned for them. Most of them are not from San Francisco, or even California.

It's no different in the State of Washington.

"Homelessness" is rampant in Spokane. It is virtually non-existent 15 miles away in Idaho.

Paid 42% tax rate in Sweden, got free health care, free full time childcare (8:30am to 4pm), and $100 a month unlimited metro card.

US I get taxed 28% and get toll roads

Not sure how I missed this thread but I'm pretty sure you're paying much more than 28% in totality. Also, isn't education also free in Sweden?

I get taxed a lot more than 28% and still get toll roads.
    Bullshit. No you don’t.
I'm really disappointed in you ladies. This is one of your favorite subjects, that we're not taxed enough. Did your booster shot have some side effects?
There is zero chance any of you gals pays 28% of your income in taxes. Basic math fail.
Is there a chance that you missed the point of the discussion?
You don’t want to pay European tax rates and you don’t receive European benefits. You especially don’t want me paying European rates . . . ‘cuz socialism, of course.
Why do you think we just need more taxes?
Because the money is already spent.
So you agree that more taxes is a stupid idea.
Sure. You’ll all turn down your entitlements for the common good, right?
    Still missing the point.
The point of a guy deciding to live in Europe because he gets more benefits.
The point is that despite the US having high taxes, there are less benefits. Would you pay more for a product that was of inferior quality? Thought you were a bidnessman.
High taxes? Counter factual. Most of you have an effective tax rate below (if not well below) 20%.
My effective tax rate is damn near 40% and much higher if I were to add all taxes beyond just federal and state income taxes.
