You could put Asa Turner in the offensive backfield and he wouldn’t make a tackle. Putting him near the LOS won’t help.

The bend but don't break stuff doesn't really work that well anymore because offenses have adjusted, including going for it more often on 4th down. If it's 3rd and 5, they are more likely to run the ball to get a first down or or go for it on 4th and 2.
